What is Good?Good – having moral qualities best adapted to its design and use, or the qualities which God’s law requires; virtuous; pious; religious; applied to persons, and opposed to bad, vitious, wicked, evil. (Websters 1828)

Mar 10:18 NKJV So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.

Goodness – is the state of being good.

We must live by the

Gal 5:22-23 NKJV But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23) gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Eph 5:9 NKJV (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),

Sowing Goodness means that You take Care of Your Own

ResponsibilitiesWe Each Bear Our Own Special Load

Gal 6:5 NKJV For each one shall bear his own load.

Is there a contradiction between “Bear one another’s burdens,” vs. 1, and “bear his own load,” vs. 5

In verse 1, baros – weight;, whereas vs 5 fortion meaning payload.

ResponsibilitiesA Congregation has responsibilitiesGal 6:6-8 NKJV Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. (8) For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Sowing Goodness means Finding Opportunities to do Good to ALL

We Must Persevere!

Gal 6:9-10 NKJV And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. (10) Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Loose heart (Faint not – KJV) like the limbs of the weary, i.e. weightlifting.

We Must Persevere!

Heb 12:1-2 NKJV Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, (2) looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Sowing Goodness is not an option
