Character Development Greenwood Forest implements a school-

wide character education program to improve social skills

Mentors are assigned to at-risk students to provide support.

Great Grizzly Citizenship Awards are presented to students at the end of each nine weeks.

Classes are recognized for good behavior with golden tickets.

Community Greenwood Forest values family and

community involvement. Greenwood Forest has an on campus

parent liaison two and a half days a week, who helps to increase parent involvement in the learning process.

Parents and community members serve on an active PTO.

Special Programs Coach Chipper: Students participate in

a year long running program. Be A Champion: After school program

for students. Spelling Bee Safety Patrol Holiday Toy Drive Shoe Box Presents

Extra-Curricular Programs Choir: Open to any student in 4th or 5th

grade that has a love of music. Students perform in a fall and spring concert as well as at the Spring Choral Festival.

Chimes: Choir students perform on chimes. Garden Club: Students plan, plant, and

maintain a community garden on the school grounds.

Science Club: Students explore scientific concepts in an after school setting.

Destination Imagination: Creative and imaginative team competitions in STEM, Visual Arts, Improvisation, and Service Learning.
