#hat is truly uni$ue about this mall is that each section %Greenbelt &, ', (, ) * + has its
own style of architecture and features. The Ayala Greenbelt features do-ens of coffeestores and restaurants, all overloo!ing a welllandscaped green par! with !oi pond, at the

The design of the mall was $uite impressive. It loo!s more li!e a theme par! thana mall. /ature is actually everywhere. The materials used really helped a lot in achieving
their goal, which is to be close to nature. The form of the trellises added beauty to the
overall design of the building. #ith all those patterns and curves that were li!e indicating
a flow or movement in the building. And the hori-ontal lines that indicate calmness and peace in the site.
The etensive use of hori-ontal lines throughout the site was very obvious. It was
shown from the design of the footbridge to the inner part of the mall and in the abundant
use of trellis. 0ven though it is a mall, the use of hori-ontal lines made the place feel calmand peaceful.
The mall doesn’t seem so crowded because of the great use of space. 1ou’ll feel
more comfortable in roaming around.
This area uses many curves, from the roof to the trellis and the round shape of thefountain which made the place very interesting to loo! at. This area loo!s energetic
because of the form of the roof that is li!e indicating a movement or flow.
The design of the ceiling gives you the sense of direction. 2i!e the first one that
shows flow and movement and the other one that is li!e pointing into something.
Greenbelt &, ', (, ), and + do not follow the usual, s$uare architecture of many
other shopping malls in etro anila. All five buildings have their own uni$ue featuresthat add to the mall3s charm. 0ven though it wasn’t built as one building, you could still
see the unity of these + malls because of the similarity in their design. The repetition of
elements made the structure as one.
The 4ridge
#hile wal!ing on the footbridge, you’ll be distracted by its design features andthe view of the landscapes below. The parallel lines and the materials used that loo!s very
close to nature. At first, you’d thought that it’s made of wood, but when you loo! closely,
you’ll reali-e that it is actually metal painted in a woodli!e color.
The 5hapel
#hen you loo! from above, you’ll reali-e that it is actually a heartshaped chapel.
In this open air church, you’ll be ama-ed by the glass sculptor, the fabricated ceiling, the
altar and image of 6ather God on the dome. The cross symbol can be seen
7ne thing you’ll love about shopping in this mall is the par! which is surrounded by restaurants and bars. The landscape is very beautiful and there’s actually a ministage at
the center. Publically accessible gardens of the par! are woven gracefully together as a
uni$ue, safe and engaging place for relaation and entertainment.
