ADVICE

The Advice Centre (SUAC) is a free and confidential advice service for potential and current students.You might worry that you’re the first person to encounter a particular problem but you’re probably not. Last year they dealt with more than 7,000 enquiries so they’re sure to have met others facing the same situation. Further information can be found at:www.cusu.org/advice

REPS

The Rep System is in place to give you a voice. The Student Reps department consists of 4 areas: Course Reps, Halls Reps, Service Reps and Community Reps. If you have any questions or concerns about your course, where you live, or any other aspect of student life you can contact your Rep for support and guidance.Reps are students just like you, they aim to see things from your point of view and they will represent you at University meetings to make sure your voice is heard. They are there to help, so make sure you stay in con­tact with them and let them know of any problems you have. Sports and societies range from Football, Hindu and Cricket, through to Pokémon, Ultimate Frisbee and Students in Business ­ a great way to enjoy your time at Coventry University!The week after Freshers Week sees the beginning of their Give It A Go program where you get to take part in sessions run by the various sports clubs and societies. In the coming weeks, the program will be released so students know when the sessions will be.
