Environmental Education in southern Africa has a long history

• In 2007, the Environmental Education Association of Southern Africa (EEASA) will be 25 years old. We invite you to celebrate with us!

• EEASA has organised international annual conferences since 1982 in many countries in southern Africa and regularly publishes a journal and bulletin.

• The Southern African Development Community (SADC) Regional Environmental Education Programme (REEP) will be operating for 10 years.

• Southern Africa is home to a rich diversity of theory and practice in EE

• Practice is characterised by an ethos of partnership and participation •Strong networks exist in southern Africa and beyond.
