Google Apps in Edmodo

•Post links to worksheets, notes, or presentations created using Google Apps

•Changes to Google Documents are automatically available on Edmodo

•Have students create Google Docs or Presentations and share them with you and post link in Edmodo

•Students can answer questions for submit lab data using a Google form available on Edmodo

Engaging Content

•Lectures are recorded for students to watch outside of class.

Providing effective feedback in Edmodo

•Be specific about what is incorrect in a student response, but don't give them the answer.

•Ask them a question or tell them what they need to correct so they can discover the correct answer for themselves.

•Google their responses to check for plagiarism.

Using Edmodo in the #flipclass

•Post videos to Edmodo as assignments

•Ask open-ended questions for students to answer in response to the videos

•Add questions within video so students need to watch video to complete assignment

•Use an Edmodo poll or discussion to get feedback and check for understanding

Project-based learning with Edmodo

•Change Edmodo grade as students complete parts of rubric

•Provide feedback on student revisions

•Change due date in Edmodo as different parts become due

•One assignment retains all parts of project for each student

•If your students participate in Google Science Fair, have students post link to project when they turn in or comment on the assignment
