We create property details which bring your home to life, enhancing the character and location, the areas, the amenities, facilities, transport and much more.
Vendor interviews are conducted, detailing items such as the seller’s favourite room, how the house fits their life and what they will miss most when they move – all enhancing the lifestyle to prospective purchasers.
Intelligent marketing that really shows resultsProspective purchasers require more than room measurements, they want to understand what it is like to live in the home and the surrounding environment.
Fine & Country designs details to enhance the character and location, the area, the amenities and facilities, from schooling to shopping and terrain to transport, creating a lifestyle image for prospective purchasers.
“IN ORDER TO PRESENT YOUR PROPERTY PROPERLY AND ATTRACT MAXIMUM INTEREST, WE OFFER A HIGH IMPACT SUITE OF MARKETING MATERIALS WHICH GENERATE ENQUIRIES AND VIEWINGS.”
“SOPHISTICATED, INTELLIGENT AND CREATIVE MARKETING THAT PROVIDES THE TYPE OF INFORMATION BUYERS WOULD NEVER NORMALLY SEE – IT IS A CASE OF PRESENTING AND PROMOTING YOUR PROPERTY AS IF IT WERE OUR OWN.”
Fine & Country recognise the more prestigious a property, the smaller the target market and thus the greater importance the promotional materials carry. ‘Presenting your property properly’ is not just a motto at Fine & Country but the mantra of the company.

Record-breaking
Going for gold
Fine & Country Golf recently joined a selection of prestigious brands in hosting the BMW PGA Championship Village, which included big names such as Jumeirah Golf Estates, Emirates Airlines, BMW, Mini, Lindt and Rolex. Fine & Country exhibited a selection of stunning golfing homes that are on the market throughout the UK and abroad to an engaged golfing audience. Those who visited the stand were able to enquire about Fine & Country, its UK and international network of estate agents, the bespoke golf division and the partnerships with European Tour Properties and Troon Golf.
This year’s BMW PGA Championship set records galore over the six-day event at Wentworth Golf Club, Surrey. Fine & Country Golf exhibited at the club for the first time with the event seeing record crowds of 113,640 in attendance. The week promised an exhilarating tournament of golf and did not disappoint for the crowds attending. Spectators were treated to five holes in one, a BMW PGA Championship record, and an outstanding final day of golf from Byeong-Hun An which saw him take his first European Tour title and finish 21 under par.
The event broke all previous attendance records with 19,123 attending the Celebrity Pro-Am day, when celebrities including One Direction’s Niall Horan, and footballers Phil Neville and Paul Scholes also took to the course. Thursday also saw record-breaking numbers, with 20,956 guests travelling to Wentworth to be present for the first official day of the tournament.
“We were thrilled with our first experience in exhibiting at the BMW PGA Championship,” says Robert O’Brien, Head of Fine & Country Golf. “With record-breaking crowds and perfect weather conditions, we were able to showcase our most stunning golfing homes to a packed Championship Village of golf players and fans. Our partnerships with European Tour Properties and Troon Golf enabled us to provide a unique presentation of the best golfing resorts worldwide and the scene quickly became competitive amongst those hoping to win a trip to PGA Catalunya.”

A new Fine & Country office opened in Sydenham, South East London on Monday 1 June, 2015. The new office joins the global network of over 300 offices worldwide, representing the brand’s rapid expansion in the country’s Capital. Fine & Country London South East, Fine & Country’s fifth London office, will specialise in the sale of properties in the upper quartile of the market in South London.

Capital expansion
A fine match On Sunday 5 July, Fine & Country welcomed nearly 4,000 attendees to watch 14 teams compete in the seventh Fine & Country Gold Cup at Dallas Burston Polo Club. In typical British style, attendees munched on picnics and sipped Pimms as they watched Rigby & Rigby claim the winning title.
“The Gold Cup lived up to all expectations this year and despite the typically British weather, there was great support from the crowd for the teams competing. Congratulations to Rigby & Rigby who came out victorious and won this year’s coveted Gold Cup,” says Ella Cloake of Dallas Burston Polo Club. The event has grown exponentially over the years and is now established as a distinguished date in the calendar, featuring the shopping village with local exhibitors as well as Dallas Burston Polo Club’s new Champagne Laurent-Perrier bar, situated on the Clubhouse terrace. The bouncy castle in the children’s area also saw a lot of action. Attendees donated their car parking fee to the Fine & Country Foundation which is dedicated to fighting homelessness. In total the Foundation raised £5,600 in charitable donations. “It was a pleasure to once again host the Fine & Country
Gold Cup. With the launch of Fine & Country’s new equestrian department, the event was a great opportunity for attendees to experience a competitive day of polo and learn more about the bespoke marketing and unique lifestyle departments Fine & Country can offer,” says David Lindley, Fine & Country Operations Manager. “Congratulations to the winners Rigby & Rigby who braved the British weather to win a thrilling tournament.”

The River Taw fl ows through the Taw Estuary as it snakes its way through brilliant green fi elds, on its path from Taw Head, a spring on the central northern fl anks of Dartmoor, before it empties into Bideford Bay in the Bristol Channel. From the oak and Millboard-decked balcony of “Panorama”, a magnifi cent home set in more than fi ve acres lying between Barnstaple and the coast, the views of the water are spectacular, stretching across and along the Taw Estuary from Barnstaple to the bay, taking in Codden Hill and Hartland Point. The handsome drawing room features ample dining and sitting space and has three pairs of French doors on the southern side of the house giving access to the terrace, which makes for a perfect outside al fresco dining area whilst at the same time taking in those magnifi cent views. Since the turn of the year, top-end property in North Devon has been performing well, particularly on or near the coast. Barnstaple is the regional centre for North Devon and the town centre is a pleasing blend of high-street traders and local stores. The renowned, restored Pannier Market has been voted amongst the top ten food markets in the country and offers a huge range of fresh produce, handmade arts and crafts, antiques and collectables. If you were to ask someone to name a city in the United Arab Emirates, the chances are the answer will be ‘Dubai’. The business centre of the Middle East, Dubai is one of the most modern cities in the world and rates highly as one of the best places to live.
It’s easy to see the attraction. The location of Dubai makes it ideal for businesses from the east and west to meet. A convenient world-class airport makes this feasible and the weather is great – especially between October and April, with sunshine and pleasant temperatures throughout. Furthermore, the range of facilities available in Dubai is superb. From apartments to shopping malls, it’s all there in abundance.
In this booming metropolis lies one site which is really making a name for itself, both locally and internationally, and that’s Jumeirah Golf Estates. With so much on the go, Dubai is the ideal place for world-class golf courses and Jumeirah Golf Estates certainly delivers, offering world-class golfing facilities and individually designed homes in the United Arab Emirates. The Estates are a fantastic combination of premium golf courses and luxurious living spaces.
Situated within a 30 minute drive of Dubai International Airport and 20 minutes from The Palm and Dubai Marina, the development is perfectly located. Surrounded by Dubai Sport City, the Green Community and Jumeirah Village, the resort enjoys an envious position within the heart of one of the newer areas of the city that stretches along the coast.
Yousuf Kazim, CEO of Jumeirah Golf Estates, says “Jumeirah Golf Estates is a thriving community of families and international visitors and one of the few places in the Emirates to be surrounded by nature, with its 15 lakes and wealth of wildlife creating a truly tranquil environment.”

The complex boasts two fantastic golf courses, named Fire and Earth. Both courses were expertly designed by legendary Australian golfer and two-time Open Championship winner, Greg Norman. The former world number one set up a company called Greg Norman Golf Course Design and while the company has been responsible for the design of over 70 golf courses to date, theFire and Earth courses at Jumeirah Golf Estates are easily amongthe best.
The Earth course was designed and built with a specifi c tournament in mind: the DP World Tour Championship. Featuring undulating fairways, challenging changes in elevation, deep bunkers andwell-contoured greens, it’s a course that provides a true test of golfi ng ability. Additional water hazards, strategically placed, combine to get players thinking about club selection, whilst also being pleasant on the eye. With the addition of the Fire course, which has a links-style feel, there is a choice of world-class golf available throughout the year.
With a highly rated golf course comes world-class facilities, including the fi rst European Tour Performance Institute in the Middle East, an impressive clubhouse, pro-shop, restaurants,a driving range and practice areas. With this in mind, there can be little surprise that European Tour have chosen the Earth Course at

Jumeirah Golf Estates to host their annual season fi nale. The DP World Tour Championship, the fi nal tournament of the European Tour season, is the culmination of the Race to Dubai. It is contested by the top 60 players in the Race to Dubai rankings, come the end of the regular tour season. Previously won by the likes of Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson, it’s one of the most prestigious events in world golf.
After offi cially opening in 2009, the Earth course caught the imagination of people world-wide, as they watched the DP World Tour Championship on television. Prior to this, despite the course being complete, it was kept closed and this built up great anticipation among golf fans around the globe. Since the grand opening, the Earth course has received fi ve-star reviews and numerous awards, including the ‘Best New Golf Development Project’ and also the ‘Best Professional Tournament’ in the Middle East Golfer Awards.
Not only can Jumeirah Golf Estates boast two world-class golf courses, it is also home to some of the best real-estate development in the Middle East. David MacLaren, Director of Property & Venue Development at The European Tour, sums it up perfectly, “In many ways, it is the epitome of how a real-estate development can successfully attract people who not only want to live next to a world-class golf course, but who also want to enjoy all the leisure and lifestyle benefi ts of living within a resort.”
Currently offering 1,050 town-houses, villas and apartmentson the edge of the two golf courses, Jumeirah Golf Estates has quickly established itself among the world’s most prestigious residential golf communities. With buyers originating primarily from the UK, Northern Europe and India, the majority of whom are Dubai-based expatriates, there’s a growing mix of cultures within the community, as there is across Dubai.

In fact, it’s not only the Earth course which has been winning awards. Jumeirah Golf Estates picked up four awards at the International Property Awards held in Dubai towards the endof 2014. THERE ARE PLENTY OF REASONS THE ALGARVE REMAINS A POPULAR PROPERTY LOCATION. MICHAELA WHITE SOAKS UP SOME SUN IN PORTUGAL
The Algarve region in Portugal boasts an annual average of 3,000 sunshine hours and over 300 sunny days a year, making it one of Europe’s sunniest places. Perched in this sunshine is Vale do Lobo, a stunning golf resort. Vale do Lobo is the first of the three corners of what is today known as the Algarve's Golden Triangle and features two golf courses. Based on original concepts by Sir Henry Cotton and re-developed by respected American golf architect Rocky Roquemore, the Vale do Lobo courses have twice been host to the Portuguese Open. Both courses guide players through umbrella pine and fig tree-lined fairways to the Atlantic, with the Royal playing along the cliff’s edge and the Ocean sweeping down to the beach.
It’s not just golf. Tennis, sailing, swimming pools, cultural and sporting events are all on tap here, making Vale do Lobo an ideal property location. Within this gorgeous setting, sits a luxury villa in a front-row location, providing seclusion while overlooking both the golf course and the beach. The seven-bedroom villa is all about living life in comfort, with a plethora of entertainment and flexible living spaces, from a heated swimming pool to terraces with stunning views and a putting green for golfing enthusiasts.
Entering the home, the first thing of notice is the reception room with its beautiful open fireplace looking onto the terrace, the golf course and the sea. The fully equipped kitchen and an en suite bedroom with doors to the terrace complete the ground level.
| 38 | FINER | FINEANDCOUNTRY.COM
A light, angled staircase leads to the master bedroom with dual walk-in closets, a terrace with spectacular views and an outdoor Jacuzzi, as well as two further guest rooms with a shared bathroom.
The second floor gives way to a roof terrace with stunning views. This is the perfect locale for al fresco dining, complete with a barbecue and dining area. After dinner, take in the sea views from the second Jacuzzi. If you’re after more active pursuits, the generously proportioned basement contains a fully equipped gym, a private spa with a massage room, sauna and steam rooms with showers, a cinema room, laundry room and two additional single bedrooms that can be used as an independent living area. There is also a small kitchen here.
The terraces in this fantastic property all overlook the golf course and have direct sea views. Nothing has been left unnoticed. A professional bar, the outside kitchen and numerous entertainment areas make this the ideal property for home entertainment, from parties to dinner. Alternatively, the good life can be reserved for family. Should you need to make a foray outside the home, the beach, restaurants and golf courses are on your doorstep.
AREA COMMENTConstantino Jordan, Director F&C Quinta do Lago/Vale do Lobo
Since launching in the 1960s, staying at Vale do Lobo has felt like a privilege. The Resort has a host of features that make it stand out from the rest. The golf courses, the Royal and the Ocean, add to the allure, with spectacular fairways on the cliff and beach. The villas here feature beautiful sea views and the Praça with it restaurants and night clubs, is a fundamental feature for families. This is a location guaranteeing the cornerstones of a good holiday: fun, entertaining, relaxing and safe. Add to that the good weather and food of the Algarve and the appeal is immense.
These values have always been there, but the economic downturn did hurt the market, with problems within the Portugal-Euro relationship. However, since exiting the Troika programme in early 2014, confidence is back and the market is realising that it is not the Euro, but rather, demand from Northern European countries that determines the value of properties in the Algarve. This can be seen in the fact that many properties are priced in Sterling and not Euro.
From an investment point of view, this property, as with many in this area, offers fantastic sea views but what stands out are the well thought out luxury features and facilities provided for entertaining. The owner, a celebrity from the sporting world who is known for his hospitality, has ensured these facilities are second to none. The villa is spacious and designed for maximising the views. This is the perfect place for a family to enjoy their leisure time or carve out a life.
