You’ve heard all the rumours.. He’s been questioned hundreds of times, but now.. For real Unkie Jub is back in town! After his two year break from the heavy mu-sic scene, word has been said that he was going to comeback in 2010 and here he is! The king of dropping beats! We invited him in for a few drinks and to get the down low on his new lot of tunes!

So Jub, you’ve kept us all waiting and finally after a very long wait indeed, Countdown is out in shops next Mon-day! How long did it take to do up?

J: Yeah! And aren’t I glad! It’s been a long 6 months working on this album, and me and the guys have put everything into it, so hopefully it’s a win for my fans!

It will be! We’ve had a sneaky pre-play of it here at Euphoria HQ and we love it! Pixie dust is our favourite track at the mo, but how did you come up with the mad lyrics for this one?

J: Ha ha, well this was a funny one.. I’d just got back from an awards do at the time and was pretty jolly, I just started jamming randomly and came up with this! I thought it summed me up pretty well as a person, that I don’t give a damn what other’s think and get on with being Jub!

Aw, that’s what we like to hear! There’s also rumors that you are going to be playing Reading Festival later this year, what do you make of that?

J: Awesome! I didn’t know this, but hey if I’m up there with all the big names, why the hell not?! I’ve only played small festivals around the UK, always dreamed of playing the top notch stuff.

Carrie and Dom from our media team are going to be at the festival in august this year, giving us the latest news on bands of the moment, what advice would you give to them about what to take?

J: They haven’t been before? They are going to die man! Nah, but they need a load of cash, mad coloured wellies and a hot load of alcohol, that is how I’m going to spending my weekend!

Dom will be over the moon when he hears this! One last thing before you go, it’s the golden anniversary of Michael Jackson’s thriller album, and our readers would like to know which is your favourite song of his, GO!

J: mine is always going to be Don’t Stop Til’ You Get Enough! No way can you beat that tune! Never! It will be hot for lightyears to come!

Farewell to Unkie Jub for now! But somehow I don’t think that’s the last we’ll be seeing of the crazy guy! His album Countdown is available for download tomorrow and in stores next week! Don’t miss out!
