SAGAR GAUTAM

LOCATION RECCE

FilmIt Co.119 Reidhaven Road

Production Title: Pepsi Max Ad SE181BX Date: 13.01.12 Plumstead London

Dining Room shot Located by Shrewsbury Park, upper Plumstead common

What will be filmed here? The dining room shot is what sets the unity to my ad; the ad starts with this exact dining room and will end with this dining room. I will be filming a lot of Longshots, Midshots and a few Close ups in this location.

Here are more different angles I will be shooting in throughout my ad, the infant included in one of the shots is one of the actors I will be using who will represent young kids in my ad, it is her home this location is at.

Side shots of dining table, I will be using these angles.

Why I chose this location:I specifically chose this house as there is this modern scenery with no vibrant colours or such that my house does not have. There is plenty of natural light and windows right above the dining room which is great for me as I intend on using high key lighting throughout my ad, the possible risk with this is that the light shown could go against me and make my actors silhouette so I need to take in account what angles I shoot at, so the lighting contributes to the filming rather then becoming a disadvantage.

Logistics:Transport – easy to get to, about 10 minutes from my house, I have full consent on filming here, as it is a close family friends house.

Possible hazards and problems with solutions:The dining room itself is quite packed so multiple movement will be hard however this shouldn’t be a problem because a lot of the shots here are stationary. The floor is smooth so transition will be smooth with no camera jolts; the one thing I need to keep in mind is tidy the surface around the dining room which allows me more space to film. There will be enough space for the actors to sit and move and me and one other crewmember to work around with so overall it is not big of a threat.

Timing – I need to ensure that I film at a time where the actors are available as well as keeping in mind filming before night falls, so I need to make sure most filming is done by 4.00pm as in wintertime that’s when nighttime will fall.

There is plenty of refreshments and water available as it is a normal household, which I have access too. There is also a trained first kid aider in the house (who is the child in the pictures mum) if any possible problems occur.

Car shot

Located yet again by Shrewsbury Park, upper Plumstead common.

What will be filmed here? The car shot is where the two females will be, I will be using Longshots of outside the car, Midshots of outside the car and some close shots inside the car. The car itself will not be moved but will have too look like it’s turned on. Below are more images of some of the angle shots I will be taking at including one of the female actors

Frontal view of car and other side view of car

Why I chose this location:I specifically chose this location due to the scenery behind the car, which is Shrewsbury park itself. The reason I needed this green scenery is to link in with another scene in my ad which will be a park, this car is my mums who drove up to shrewsbury and let me film my advert.

Logistics:Transport – easy to get to, about 10 minutes from my house, I have full consent on filming here, as it is my mums car.

Possible hazards and problems with solutions:It is located on a hill, so if weather turns out for a worst especially in January where snow may fall, this can be a problem for me as the director so to take precautions if it does snow I need to ensure the area is safe and remove all the snow around the car.

Other possible hazards will be moving the car itself however I’m sure the handbrake will already be on a car so that will not be a problem.

Timing – I need to ensure that I film at a time where the actors are available as well as keeping in mind filming before night falls, so I need to make sure most filming is done by 4.00pm as in wintertime that’s when nighttime will fall.

There is plenty of refreshments and water available as the car is located by a normal household, which I have access too. There is also a trained first kid aider in the house if any possible problems occur.

For mounting camera support there will plenty of things in the house which I could work with and I also have a tripod.

Park shot

Location: Plumstead Gardens – Lower Plumstead

Two angles I will be filming at

What will be filmed here? The park scene is where the two infants will be to advertise the product, their will be a series of longshots, mid shots, extreme longshots and close up shots used in this scene. The photos above is the exact scenery I am going to film at.

Why I chose this location:I chose this location because not only is it a 5 minute walk from my house, this park needs everything that I need for this scene; a green scenery which includes some form of kids play park. I also generally like the open lighting which is suitable for my high key lighting ad.

Logistics:

Page 5: final location recce

Transport – 5 minute walk from my house, it is a 24/7 open Public Park in which anyone has access too, I have consent to film here as there is no signs or issues with filming in the area as I have seen it be done in my local park for years now.

Possible hazards with solutions:Overall I would consider this park a safe park, it does not contain any slippery surfaces and has all round fencing to ensure safety, what I do need to keep in mind is of course yet again the weather in January as if it snows I need to take extra precaution with the safety of the young actors, I will have a guardian of the young actors with me to ensure this aswell. Timing – for timing yet again I need to ensure I film before the 4pm margin as nightfall will take upon around then.

For refreshments/first aid my house is literally a 5 minute walk from the park which contains both of these things. My mum is a first aider if any injuries or such take place.

Mounting support is covered by the tripod I will have.

Overall there are not any other problems with this park, it has padded tarmac all around if the infant actors fall over to support them.
