• 10-Non-combatants are not included in these numbers. The author comments “that Indian combat deaths were fewer than soldier combat deaths.” Based on information that you gathered from other documents, is this statement accurate? (Hint-More Indians died from disease that bullets. In 1848, 1200 Pawnee died to cholera).
