FBC’s MissionFBC’s MissionWe will follow God’s gracious activity in Christ for the good of the world. FBC will:WORSHIP the Living God! We will host a Sunday gathering that draws in people from all over the city for worship, Communion, baptism, beauty, healing, prayer, intergenerational fellowship and educationSeek to BE A PEOPLE of peace and well-being (inward journey of spiritual formation)Seek to LIVE THE WAY of peace that contributes to the well-being of the city (outward journey of spiritual companionship)

2.4.1.2 A Spiritual Director’s list will be compiled and weekly appointments will be facilitated

2.4.1.3 A downtown network of churches will provide programs, prayer and sacred space

2.4.1.4 A 2-year certificate in Christian Spirituality will be made available to the congregants of FBC. A joint partnership with Rocky Mountain College in Calgary (Centre for Christian Spirituality)

2.4.1.5 A “mentoring voices” group will be established to give our church wisdom, encouragement and direction: Prociuk, Yates, Bellous, Peasgood, Mutch, Effa, etc.

3.1.4.5 Keenagers and Senior Saints: caring for/honoring this group in meaningful ways, facilitating ways for them to share their spiritual stories and wisdom. Inviting them to mentor, encourage and pray for the younger generation.

3.1.4.6 Pastoral care via a model of “priesthood of all believers.” Every member of FBC shares the task, cognizant of gifting and need.
