During th e f i r s t week o f schoo l we hada Fa i t h P romis e p ro gr am , as you a re sh ar ing what th e Lord hasg iven you with me, I a lso wanted to sha r e with o th e r m i ss io n ar ie s .W e had se t our Faith Promise goal a t 5iOO0 and when a l l of thepromises were to ta led , we went way over to r ea ch $8, 617 .50.Because o f y ou r g en ero us he lp and o the r s we were ab le to r eachth is new goal and go over i t . The f ina l giving to ta l was $9,101.96,Our main project was to help David London in Guyana, South Ameri ca , buy a bus t h a t he was needing,

I am still ac t ive in s t r ee t evangelism. Although I can notbe as active as I would l ike , because the l ibrary does come f i r s t .I have been helping s ta r t a new work in Vietnam, which is a verypoor^section outside of Catano. During the week of pract icalmissions, a t the end of the second quar te r , one team went intoVietnam for the whole week. On Tuesday, Tom Woodward met PedroJuan Sevil le . Pedro was very interested even though he was drunka t the t ime. He wanted to hear more so he inv i ted Tom to comeback and bring h is f r iends . So Wednesday af ternoon we had astreet meeting in Pedro's yard. Four people indicated that theywould l ike to make a s tand fo r the Lord but wanted to th inkabout i t f irst . On Thursday when v e went back Pedro was the onlyone there, so we studied with him and he wanted to be baptizedr ight away. So we went down to the ocean and Tom baptized him.Since there i s no church r igh t in Pedro's area he invi ted usto come back and have church in his house. So every Sunday wehave been going over and holding church services. Last SundayPedro had th ree of h is old fr iends there tha t he used to drinkwith. They are a l l trying to figure out what has changed Pedro

Since then I have seen the need of a car. JanetDavis and I have been sharing her car, but her's has over 87,000miles on i t and is now requiring more repairs than i t is runninr.As I will be home this summer from June 18 - July 30th, I amasking my Father to check on car prices there as I feel i t willbe cheaper than buying one here. As I have a mailing l i s t of 200,i f everyone would send just 5.00 to my forwarding agent for acar that would be 1,000 towards i t . This is a great need forour work in Catano.
