Invicta Reserve Excursion Sport Chrono or Is It?
Just received my Sunday Run Invicta Reserve Excursion Sport
Chrono
Model: 1413 and this model does not specify Reserve anywhere on
the watch not even the second hand.
Anyone else have the same issue?

You piqued my interest and I just received the same watch and no
Reserve marking anywhere...well
except on the description during the Run. Ah well, it's a gift
for our dog sitter, so they'll enjoy it either
way.

Funny thing is they included a small booklet titled "The Invicta
Ocean Jelly" Palette Series and they are all
illustrated as Invicta Reserve under the 12:00 position and the
second hand has the Reserve insignia. I
know I only paid $72 shipped but I feel like I got a stripped
down Reserve quartz piece that I would have
not otherwise ordered. When I saw a reserve piece for this money
I said what the heck. I am also not
willing to pay $25 to send it back. Anyone else have this same
problem?

Maybe Mike will read and explain. I bought the all-white for my
first white watch, and definitely want a
Reserve. At $66+ it's a great pick up. Mine is due for delivery
on Wed. We shall see.

Basically, you got a $60 watch for your $60 bucks, give or
take.
You got what you paid for, I think, but it is definitely not
what was shown in the pic... so you are justified
in sending it back.

The oddest thing is its not like there's a catalog number for
this watch in a non-reserve/swiss parts
version. At least not that I've see. But don't think this is a
case of being sent a "second" or something
cause its all laid out too well.
They have been using the 5040d on a lot of swiss part rather
than swiss made pieces lately. Just not sure
what to make of this.

Whats the model number?
If it starts with a F, that usually signifies a watch made in
the far east.
No worries though, they make mistakes in the descriptions all
the time.

Just received my Excursion. Not an "F" model. Model 1416. 'Swiss
Parts' on back of case. No Reserve
designation anywhere on watch. Even the invoice states "Reserve
Excursion . . ." Gonna keep it though
since I don't want to pay for shipping and going through the
hassle of getting my credit card refunded.
Too bad. Not that it matters, but we don't get a 5 Year Warranty
free. Oh well. Now to the Valgrange
Venom which is sitting in its box right next to me!! Hopefully
better luck. Well so much for better luck . . .
NO EXTRA STRAP . . . AGAIN!!!!

They have been doing that a lot. A lesson learned quite
recently. The latest women's Bolt was not really a
"Reserve" piece either--even though Shopnbc had included Reserve
in the title.

Man that's not good. I guess I've been blessed to date. Never
had an issue with a Sunday run watch.
Hope you can get it resolved.

Sorry to hear. The Run has been known to have typo's or
descriptions that are not up to date. If you
didn't receive what you were expecting (& are unhappy) ....
call or email to arrange a return & send the
watch back for a refund.

Just "googled" model 1413 and World of Watches has a reserve
excursion on display for that model
#. Wonder what you would actually get? Interesting.
-
Nextdaywatches also is displaying a reserve excursion for that
model #.

Saw alot of adds on Ebay for this watch that show REAL pics of
it not stock photo's and none
of them showed Reserve on them. Guess the Sport model is non
reserve but still good
looking watch and compared to what others are selling sounds
like a great deal for $60 bucks
no matter if it's reserve or not.

This version on the Shop doesn't have Reserve on it either. I
think it may be due to a
photoshopping oversight on the Run.

Customer Service Response
Maria responded the following:
Regarding the Invicta model 1413, our new design does not show
the "R" anywhere,
however it is consider part of our Reserve collection. You have
14 days from purchase date
to return the watch back to Invicta for a refund.
So I requested a prepaid shipping label and waiting on their
response.

This may be, but swiss parts does not a reserve make.
What say you my fellow geeks?

Maria's response is interesting because I have the camo version,
and I thought they were
Reserve pieces too, but Michael specifically told me that they
are NOT.

I just can't get over the fact that in essence Invicta has sold
me a "Reserve" knockoff.
