If you find any of these items in the trash, please contact EHS at 4-3921. Chemical Collection Tags (CCT) are available for tagging items indicated below, by calling 4-2568. If you have questions regarding disposal of other items, please call EHS for assistance. Contact Brenda Williams (4-2239) for assistance. Asbestos containing wastes, including transite and other white insulating materials that may contain asbestos Tag for EHS. Compressed gas cylinders Tag for EHS. Propane or butane cylinders Tag for EHS. Pesticides, fertilizers, and other ag chemicals Contact Facilities Service Desk (4-3600) and request a biohazard collection container. Biohazardous materials Containerize and seal, then place in trash. Non-infectious needles and sharps, unless containerized and sealed Tag for EHS. Oil-based paint and undried Latex paints Tag for EHS. Mercury containing items (e.g., thermostats) Contact Landscape Services at 4-2500. Yard waste Tag for EHS. PCB containing lighting ballasts and transformers Place in designated collection container. Fluorescent, metal halide, mercury, HID lamps Place in designated collection container. Aerosol cans Contact Surplus Property at 4-2222. Computer and electronic equipment Tag for EHS. Batteries – Lead acid, Ni-cad, button Contact Surplus Property at 4-2222.
