What are SIGNAGES ?

SIGNAGE• Signage, refers to the design or

use of signs and symbols to communicate a message about something.

• It can be related to your business or it can be a motivational quotes or some informational messages.

make it suitable for customers to understand the services provided by shops or store.

• At Business Places or Companies,it used for motivational quotes and also for navigation signs.

make an impression on your visitors.• Exterior Signage is a way to express the

information to people about a business services,navigation path and some motivational quotes.

• It is used in outside of a business place or shop to make it easier for people to understand about their services and their business.

• A good and better designed exterior signage also attract people towards the shops and business.

• It is also used at highways to understand people about distance and so much new shops and places etc.

BACK LIT SIGNS

Back-Lit Signs• Back-lit signs (or illuminated signs) are

signs that contain their own internal lighting system in order to grab customer interest and remain visible day or night.

• Back-lit signs can range from large exterior signs that capture the interest of passing pedestrians and motorists, or smaller interior signs to grab the interest of visitors and highlight a path or product.

WHEN SHOULD BACK-LIT SIGNS BE USED?

• Back-lit signs should be used for every sign that must be visible during any periods of low light, or to gather customer interest and make a business appear more inviting.

• For customers and visitors: light is comfort. A back-lit sign will appear more inviting and comfortable compared to one that is not backlit. The soft glow of a business’ sign will attract more visitors versus a sign that is not back-lit. Back-lit signs can be used for:

CONSIDERATIONS WHEN CHOOSING BACK LIGHTING

There are several things to keep in mind when choosing a back-lit sign for your business:

• Electricity must be accessible at the sign location.

• The back-lighting should be a colour that compliments your business’ theme

• The sign should be placed in such a way that it is not washed out by other light such as a street light or competitors sign.

PROS AND CONS• ProsWhile a little more costly, the payback is worth it. Back-lit signs can advertise day and night, giving your potential customers something to look at.

• ConsLocation is everything for these types of signs. If you don’t have a good location, your back-lit sign will go to waste due to being drowned out by other signs, not being seen by anyone or having the wrong colour

• Electronic signs may be used indoors or outdoors. The display technologies are varied and changing quickly. Because of new display technologies, electronic signs are able to present more clear, colorful, and vivid images. Animated electronic signs gradually replace traditional static signs and increasingly take signage market share.

• Major electronic signage include fluorescent signs, HID (high intensity displays), incandescent signs, LED signs, and neon signs. Besides, LED signs and HID are so-called digital signage.

• ProsIf you want your company to stand out, electronic signs are a great way to do it. Programmable, personable and futuristic, these signs can communicate multiple messages without needing to print off a different sign.

• ConsElectronic signs are very expensive and require a lot of maintenance. When they break, it is best to fix the problem right away otherwise the sign could steer potential customers away from your business. In colder climates the lifespan of electric signs is not long, so be sure not to invest in a cheaper no name brand product.
