Excursion along the Wadden sea:

Farming

Farms• We saw two kinds of

farms: one with animals and another one with a field of oilseed rape

• Farms were built on hills because from them owners could see all the landscape and the area around the hill. Besides hills protect farms against flooding.

Field of oilseed rape

• There are a lot of this kind of field in Denmark and Germany: because of the too cold weather, these plants are used instead of olives to make oil.

Animals Along the sea there are

three important breeding’s:

• Horses• Cows • Sheep:This kind of breeding is

facilitated by the sea that makes the grass grow faster.

Mandø tour

• We drove to Mandø island with bus that we can see on picture. Inside this bus there were pictures of roads, fauna and flora and dates of some accidents in water.

Way to Mandø• Big part of road was

inside the water. • In winter some cars

have really big problems about driving on this road because there can be water from 30cm to 2m on it.

• 40 years ago people which living in Mandø made bridge so now it’s easier to go to this island.

Road

• Last part of road was between fields in which we could see animals from farms, like sheep and cows.
