From the onset Jesus told His discipleswhy he wanted them to follow Him. Matt.4:19During His ministry He commanded themto go out and evangelize. Mark 16:15The final command He gave to thembefore ascending into Heaven was toevangelize. Matt. 28:19-20

Jesus made it clear that the reason Hecame was to seek and save that whichwas lost. Luke 19:10In His teaching (Parable of the Sower) Heshowed that we must sow everywhere (bywayside, among rocks, among thorns andon good soil) even though we know thatonly those on good soil that would producefruits. After the return of Jesus to Heaven Hisdisciples returned to Jerusalem and prayed.

In 3 different parables in Luke 15 Jesusreferred to the lost coin, the lost sheep andthe lost son.On all three occasions the ownerssearched diligently until they found whatwas lost and it always ended in rejoicing.Luke 15:7 states that there is morerejoicing in heaven over one sinner whorepents than over 99 just persons.

Historians estimate that the early churchgrew by approximately 40% annually

Acts 2:47 - And the Lord added to thechurch daily such as should be saved.Can we say that the universal church isgrowing daily?Can we say that our local church isgrowing daily?

Universalists believe that all person willultimately be saved. If we dont evangelizewe may not be a universalist but we will beacting as one.John 3:16 clearly states that it is thosewho believe in Christ that shall be saved.John 3:18 states that those who dontbelieve is already condemned.Only Jesus can save this world and onlyChristians can evangelize the world

Acts 4:20 we cannot help speaking whatwe have seen and heardIn 2 Cor. 5:14 Paul says For Christs loveconstraineth (compels us ) because wethus judge that if one died for all then wereall dead.Our motivation to witness should comefrom the inside rather than the outside.This is called i n t r in s i c m o t i v at io n .

Jesus is the message. The entire message ofthe Bible points to one direction - ChristAny method could be used but we must

reason with them and persuade them to givetheir lives to Christ. Acts 19:8 (read)Every born again believer is called upon toevangelize

We should evangelize wherever we areWe should do it with love, concern andhumility

The entire process can be found in the bookof RomansFirst show that every person is a sinner andwithout Christ we are all lost.

Second Show that sin must be paid for.

Third - Jesus Christ is Gods only provision

for mans sin.Fourth - Show that we must accept Christ inorder to be saved. Rom. 10:9
