BRINGING THE WORLD TOGETHER ONE SONG, NOTE, VOICE AND DRUMBEAT AT A TIME.In 1887, Ludwig Zamenhof developed an international language – Esperanto – for everyone to speak. One language. One world.

But Zamenhof’s beautiful idea never came to pass. If only he’d looked to the piano, the violin or to song for inspiration, he would have discovered an international language already existed, one that crosses cultural and emotional boundaries effortlessly. That language is music.

James Morrison has curated a program that embodies the spirit of Esperanto, filling every crevice of Brisbane Powerhouse with music from a variety of cultures. Experience an array of genres including Australian Indigenous, Brazilian, Indonesian, Maori, gypsy, R&B, flamenco, pop, bluegrass, jazz and more.

The Meeting is a convergence of three outstanding artists each with a distinctive voice in the world of music and with something unique to share.
