Use the appropriate size wrapper for item or instrument to be wrapped Place wrapper on a flat work surface with one corner toward you Place the item or tray in the center of the wrapper Place internal indicator (CI) in area of wrap least accessible to steam

Fold the closest corner of the wrapper over the item to cover the entire surface Fold the corner about 2 – 2 ½ inches back with the corner’s end toward you while keeping the item covered

Fold one side of the wrapper over the item. Fold back the corner about 2 ½ inches.

Fold the opposite side of the wrapper over the item. The top fold must overlap the fold underneath.

Bring the corner opposite you straight down over the package and under Secure the package with indicator tape Label tape with item or instrument and processing date Place sticker with the load and autoclave number on wrap
