ENG-100 Energy industry user forum & Roy Hill Mining: xECM for engineering and asset management

Tuesday, July 10, 3 pm-4 pmThis session sets the stage to introduce the EW breakout sessions that focus on the Energy industry and its products as well as a quick overview of the companies in attendance. It will also feature our Energy industry customer, Roy Hill Mining.

Roy Hill recently developed a 55-million-tons per annum (Mtpa) iron ore mining, rail and port operation in western Australia's Pilbara region. Using OpenText Content Server to support operation of a $10 billion iron ore mine, Roy is now upgrading to V16.3 and implementing xECM for SAP Plant Maintenance and xECM for Engineering.

ENG-101 Energy industry strategy and customer presentations

Thursday, July 12, 10 am-12 pmIn this two-hour breakout session, Martin Richards, OpenText Energy industry strategist, will host a series of short customer presentations that will highlight the differing use of OpenText technology across the value chain in the Energy industry. It will also feature the following four customers:

Valero: A major US-based downstream Oil and Gas company operating 15 refineries and 11 ethanol plants in North America and Europe producing 3.1Bn barrels per day. Valero is using OpenText, combined with Cad-Capture to extract equipment data from its P&IDs and create a system that links its engineering data and documents.

Lundin Mining: The mining company, headquartered in Sweden, is using OpenText technology to manage its vendor invoices across all of its assets globally.

Puget Sound Energy: PSE is using OpenText Content Services, Extended ECM and Document Presentment for SAP®. In this presentation, PSE representatives will focus on their use of Document Presentment to significantly improve the responsiveness and quality of customer communications.

Marie Tecnimont: A major EPC, consisting of 50 operating companies, based out of Milan, Italy, Tecnimont is using OpenText Capital Projects, based on the Documentum platform together with Supplier Exchange to manage documentation from all of its new projects. Tecnimont will discuss the development of the Capital Projects system and how its implementation has transformed project document control.

ECM-129 Product update: OpenText Extended ECM for Engineering controls risk and accelerates revenue

Wednesday, July 11, 1 pm-1:50 pmEngineering, energy and resources companies executing greenfield and brownfield projects need to control change and the exchange of deliverables, while integrating sources of engineering and asset information. This session discusses how the latest releases of OpenText Extended ECM for Engineering enable you to do this and accelerate time to revenue, control risk and meet contractual obligations. The speakers will also share how they plan to maximize production uptime by integrating this engineering information into SAP® Plant Maintenance.

It will cover collaboration on content processes throughout the lifecycle of engineering assets and large-scale infrastructure. This session will explore:

• How industry trends and technologies are influencing our engineering solutions portfolio.

• Examples of how OpenText products and cloud services are being deployed, highlighting some of the benefits.

• Short and long-term roadmap plans for the continuing evolution of OpenText private and public cloud services.

the SharePoint® collaboration environment, structured business processes driven by SAP® and the underpinning OpenText ECM platform. The first step on this journey was the recent upgrade to Content Suite 16.2.
