What is Electrical Technology? The Electrical Technology AAS program prepares students for entry-level electrician positions in factories, the construction industry, and power plants. The study of electrical theory and practical applications provides the foundation for this program. Class and Laboratory instruction include basic electrical theory, residential and commercial wiring, conduit bending, motor controls, and programmable logic controllers. Three degree areas of specialization are offered Industrial Electrician, Motor Controls Electrician, and Construction Electrician.The Electrical Technology program requires that a student must make a “C” or better in required core and technical electives to progress in the program.
