spotlight on educationFor over ten years Washroom Washroom has been at the head of the class inmanufacturing and installing leading washrooms across the education sector.

Our wide range of washroom systems, from the fruit-shaped Frutti to the soft curves of the Bambino and sophistication of the Intermezzo are ideal for nursery, junior and higher education applications and are all available in an array of colour choices, materialsand finishes including hard wearing and environmentally friendly recycled options.

In addition to a wide range of cubicle options designed to provide privacy, security andwhere appropriate, supervision for younger children, we also design, manufacture andinstall a string of complementary products, including vanities, lockers and benching.

Established in 2001, Washroom Washroom has successfully built on its philosophy todesign, manufacture and install high quality innovative washroom products, on time andwithin budget. During this time the company has developed a range of washroom cubicles,vanities, lockers and benching together with a dedicated bespoke joinery service, that meetsthe changing demands of markets as diverse as leisure, commercial, retail and education.

Washroom Washroom’s leading team of designers pay close attention to the selection andintegration of materials and our manufacturing team, operating state-of-the-art CNCmachinery, ensure that the construction of the ranges will more than meet therequirements of the client.

Working closely with regulators and environmental groups, we are committed toprotecting the environment wherever we operate. We constantly review and monitor oursuppliers, products and processes in order to minimise environmental pollution, and waste.In addition to recycling where possible our own waste, we can also manufacture from arange of recycled materials including a colourful range of vanities and panels producedfrom recycled plastic bottles.

Frutti is a free standing cubiclesystem offered in solid gradelaminate for maximumdurability. In place of a headrailthe pilasters are supported by a floor mounted bracket foradded rigidity.

Bambino is a full sized cubiclewith reduced height doors tofacilitate supervision and toalleviate any intimidation that astandard cubicle may impose.

Offered in a choice of HPL or SGLBambino cubicles combine a frontmounted headrail with sweepingcurves to the doors, the pilastersare also radiused to soften thevisual impact and provide aunique aesthetic.

The removal of right angles can be mirrored in the duct accesspanelling and vanity underpaneldesign to culminate in awashroom unlike any other.

Depending on panel materialchosen the Mezzo system can be used as toilet and showercubicles. Changing cubicles arealso available complete withcomplementary benching.

Mezzo cubicles comprise curvedaluminium pilasters and headrailwith door and division paneloptions to suit your specificrequirements. Typically the cubicleis set out with 150mm floorclearance with the option of downto floor pilasters and divisionswhere increased privacy is required.

Mezzo is available with a choice of panel including MFC, HPL, solidgrade laminate, glass and veneer.

When cubicle requirements dictatethat the cubicle centres need to be greater than 850mm we offer asplit pilaster detail ‘Mezzo Duet’ asan option which allows a 450mmturning circle within the cubicle.

Designed for use within wet and dry areas, Forté is the perfectcubicle for use in schools and any other environment subject to high traffic. As solid gradelaminate is totally impervious to water Forté can be used asshower and wet area changingcubicles.

High pressure laminate (HPL)Practical and economical surfacing foreveryday washrooms. Ideally suited formedium traffic areas such as officesand industrial units. Only top mountedwash hand basins can be used inArpeggio HPL vanity units.

Solid grade laminate (SGL)Solid grade laminate (SGL) is extremely

durable and water resistant making it perfectfor use in schools and other areas subject to

high-traffic or prone to vandalism. Due tothe true waterproof nature of the material,

SGL vanity units can be fitted withundermounted wash hand basins.

An aluminium framework/bracketsystem pre-treated and polyesterpowder coated to ensure a topquality and durable finish, supportsa choice of seating options. All floor-mounted styles are supported onadjustable legs for on site levelling.

seat optionsType A - single 300mm wide seating plank is manufactured from 12/13mmsolid grade laminate.

Type B - single seating plank machined with integral slots for slattedappearance, maintaining much of the strength of a single piece. 300mm wide,manufactured from 12/13mm solid grade laminate.

Type C - comprises three individual hardwood slats 30mm thick x 90mm wide.Finished with two coats of AC lacquer.

After previously completing refurbishmentwork in Westminster’s student union includinga striking bar and leisure facility undertaken byWashroom’s specialist joinery division,

the college immediately identifiedWashroom Washroom to design thespecifications and undertake themanufacture and installation of theWC and shower areas of the newbuilding.

Washroom provided a carefullyselected choice of bold colours tocreate a contemporary themerunning throughout. A chic look wascreated which comprised of stylishMezzo Aqua WC cubicles and

Concerto ducting manufactured inhardwearing Black SGL to provide along lasting option. Arpeggio vanityunits sustained the black theme,manufactured from black Granite.

Tidemill Academy

Washroom went back to school with its recentsupply of eye-catching specifications for the £21 million development of the new TidemillAcademy in Lewisham, London.

The unique project, which includes a rooftop five-a-sidefootball pitch, saw Washroom Washroom provide age-specific washrooms for pupils and visitors alike. With theschools facilities open to the public, Washroom Washroomutilised cubicles from across its range to create washroomsspecific to the end users age, specifying a number ofproducts from its education range.

For younger students, the Bambino was specified to provide acolourful and comfortable space. The Bambino cubicle system isspecifically designed for children of junior school age who maynot feel comfortable using washroom facilities designed foradults. Solid grade laminate was used to provide a cost effectiveand durable space which is extremely hardwearing, waterresistant and ideal for high traffic areas prone to vandalism.

Washroom also provided a numberof products for Tidemill Academy’sLibrary. With visitors and olderstudents in mind, Washroomprovided its stylish and

hardwearing Mezzo stainless steel and Forté cubicles. The more‘grown up’ look and stainless steelfinish helps set the washroomsapart from those aimed at youngerstudents and puts the user at ease.The cubicles also help provide the

privacy that older end usersdemand. Concerto WC ducts and Arpeggio vanity units wereinstalled to complement thecubicles and provide both stylishand practical specifications for use by students and visitors.
