ECHO helps those working overseas in the areas of Agriculture and Community Development to find solutions to the

difficulties they face in their communities. We want to improve the capabilities of

these workers to address local agricultural problems and to offer additional options for improving the quality of life for the

people they serve.

Post-harvest losses of food grains in the

developing world from mishandling, spoilage

and pest infestation are around 25%.

One-quarter of grains produced never reach the consumer, and the

effort and money required to produce it

are lost-forever.
