Size of E - Ball

• E-Ball is very small, it is having only 6 inch diameter sphere.

• It is having 120×120mm motherboard.

Elements of E - Ball

• Virtual keyboard

• Wireless optical mouse

• LCD projector

• Web cam

• Paper holder

Virtual Keyboard

• A virtual keyboard is a projection keyboardthat is projected and touched on any flatsurface.

• Virtual keyboard basically uses theprinciple of sensor technology andartificial intelligence to let users work onany surface.

• User operates by typing on or within awireless or optical -detectable surface orarea rather than by depressing physicalkeys.

ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES

ADVANTAGES:-

o Portability.

o Accuracy.

o Speed of text entryo Lack of need for flat or large typing

surface.o Ability to minimize the risk for repetitive

strain injuries.

Page 15: E ball technology

DISADVANTAGES:-

o It is very costly ranging from 150 to 200dollars.

o The room in which the projected keyboardis used should not be very bright.

o Virtual keyboard is hard to get used to.

PROJECTORS

E-BALL can use either of the twoprojectors –

1. LCD projector

2. DLP projector

Page 17: E ball technology

LCD Projectors

Page 18: E ball technology

ADVANTAGES:-

• LCD is generally more light efficient.• LCD projectors can project bright, vivid

images with a low output lamp.• LCD trends to produce a sharper image.

DISADVANTAGES:-

• LCD projectors bulky as there are moreinternal components.

• Dead pixels.• LCD competes extremely well when high

light output is required.

Page 19: E ball technology

DLP Projectors

Page 20: E ball technology

ADVANTAGES

• Higher contrast.• Reduced pixilation.• Since the DLP light engine consists of a

single chip rather than three LCD panels,DLP projectors tend to be more compact.

DISADVANTAGES

• Rainbow effect.• High cost.

Working

• Press and hold the power button for 5 sec.

• Adjust the LCD projector.

• Detach the optical mouse.

• Activate the virtual keyboard.

• Ready to use.

ADVANTAGES

• Portable.

• Large memory.

• Useful for making video presentation.

• Support user defined keyboard layouts.

• Efficient.

• Easy to use.

• Good speed.

• More secure than other computer.

Page 29: E ball technology

DISADVANTAGES

• Normal operating systems cannot work inthese computers.

• Cost of E-BALL is very high.

• It is difficult to understand if any problemoccurs in hardware part.

• Plane surface required for using thekeyboard.

Page 30: E ball technology

CONCLUSION

• As the year passes, the COMPUTER SIZEis becoming SMALLER.

• Today’s technology is at its peak pointbeyond what we could ever imagine.
