Drumlin Farm, located 15 miles west of Boston in Lincoln on 232 acres of land, is a Mass Audubon Sanctuary that strives to adhere to our mission “To protect the nature of Massachusetts for people and for wildlife.” Drumlin Farm has been offering summer camp experiences since 1956.

Drumlin Farm Day Camp provides campers an ideal atmosphere to learn about a working farm and the natural world while making friends and having fun.

Focusing on a different theme each day, campers explore farm, field, forest and pond environments. Campers will participate in hands-on activities including farm chores, learning about local wildlife, eating & cooking fresh foods from the garden and nature crafts. Butterfly nets, pond dippers, binoculars, microscopes and curiosity are the basic equipment needed by campers to explore what nature has to offer. Older campers expand their knowledge through specialized programs in conservation, sustainable farming, cultural history, and Massachusetts habitats.

StaffWe have a highly dedicated and knowledgeable staff and maintain low camper-to-staff ratios to allow for small group learning. Trained and qualified camp staff strive to build a connection between young people and the land through hands-on farm and nature activities, games, and crafts. Staff are carefully selected based on their maturity, enthusiasm, teaching experience, knowledge of natural history and farming, and deep commitment to teaching young people about the natural world. Our staff consists of college students and skilled professionals. The average staff to camper ratio is 1:5 for younger campers and 1:7 for older campers.

SafetyAll staff are CORI and SORI background checked and are certified in CPR and First Aid. A certified EMT is on staff and a Pediatric Physician is on call to provide routine or emergency care, if needed.

Drumlin Farm Day Camp is licensed by the state of Massachusetts and accredited by the American Camp Association.

Our VisionA Massachusetts in which people appreciate and understand native plants and animals and their habitats and work together to ensure that they are truly protected

Love of NatureAt Mass Audubon we value the diversity and resilience of nature and treasure its beauty. Nature sustains and renews us, provides unexpected moments of joy, and inspires our daily work.

PLeaSe NOte: Our programs take place on a wildlife sanctuary and working farm. Campers will engage in outdoor exploration and activities, move about on uneven ground and work closely with farm animals.
