    DRUG ABUSE::FACTOR FICTION?

    overcoming addiction is simply a matter of will power. You can stop using if youreally want to

    natural drugs are safe than synthetic ones

    drug addiction is a choice and addicts are bad people

    treatment didnt work before, so it wont work again

    alcohol will give you more energy and make you more sociable

    eating a big meal before I drink will keep me sober

    if you have a high alcohol tolerance, you wont have a drinking problem

    white wine is a good choice for someone who wants a light drink with less alcohol

    drinking coffee makes a person sober up faster

    THINK YOU WONT GET ADDICTED?

    Research shows that people who begin drinking earlier than age 15 are much morelikely to develop a dependence on alcohol than those who began drinking after age21

    The earlier a person begins using marijuana, the greater the risk for future drug usedisorders and additional illicit substance abuse problems

    The younger a person begins using over the counter/prescription drugs, the morelikely they are to be addicted for the rest of their lives!
