From Driver’s Choice MagazineWell, here we are distributing the September/October issue of Driver’s Choice already. We are finally getting the nice weather we waited 8 months for, although this week-end they are threatening a major Hurricane in Massachusetts.

School will be started by the time you read this and I would like to remind every-one to slow down and be extra careful as the children will be excited to return to school and see all their friends again.

The last two months seemed to fly by. We had our 3rd Annual Truck Show and Shine in Saskatoon in July and I was disappointed in the number of trucks on display. Everyone seemed to get really busy all of a sudden for about 6 weeks and now they say it will be slow until after the long week-end and then everyone is predicting a very busy fall.

On September 17 the Special Olympics Truck Convoy is scheduled to go again. The registration is from 7:30 to 8:15 am and the Convoy begins at 8:30. We will be picking up more trucks at Chamberlain to complete the run to Regina. The end-ing celebrations are scheduled for the Turvey Centre, 100 Armour Road in Regina at 12:30 pm. As usual, the truck that raises the most pledges is awarded the lead position in the convoy. If you can’t be in the convoy, please come out to help us as spectators.

That’s about it for now. Have a good fall and remember to stay safe as well as busy.
