HELLO FROM YOUR LTG

Hello Division 28! It’s been officially 1/3 of the term and unfortunately, it means the ending to my service as your Lieutenant Governor. However, I can’t even begin to say how insanely proud and grateful I feel to have the club support me throughout my time. Whether it was by attending the DCMs or even just sending me a friend request on Facebook, I’ve never been impacted by such a large community of wonderful people. I might now be part of the CNH district, but don’t expect me to disappear from the PNW. You guys all know my contact information so don’t hesitate to reach me if at all needed. At the same time, I hope I’ve made you guys not regret electing me as your Lieutenant Governor and I know Adam will do great in the position leading Division 28 in the upcoming months. In Love and Service, Cyssi Ngo Lieutenant Governor of Division 28

KEY CLUB 101

Page 13: Division 28 | July 2015 Newsletter

In the midst of serene nature and fluctuating weather

conditions lies the great Pacific Northwest District (PNW). The

Pacific Northwest is geographically the largest district of Key

Club International. The district spans from western Canada to

northern California; with Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and

the pan-handle of Idaho in between. The Pacific Northwest

encompasses nearly 1.8 million square miles and includes

over 300 clubs that operate under 44 divisions. Through rain

or shine, snow or hail, Key Clubbers in the PNW dedicate

countless hours to their communities and international, and

we are always Proud ‘N’ Willing to serve!

ELIMINATE WEEK Every child deserves to be healthy and

happy. This Eliminate Week, celebrate the children in your life and

do something for the Eliminate Project. All it takes is US$1.80 to save a mother and all of her future babies from maternal and neonatal tetanus.

Page 15: Division 28 | July 2015 Newsletter

• 1 baby dies every 11 minutes • $1.80 is enough to save a mother and her future

babies • 160 babies die from MNT each day • A series of three shots of vaccine = immunity to

tetanus

OFFICER OF THE MONTH

MEMBER OF THE MONTH

JUDI WONG

AUSTIN SURBER

Traditionally, it is the president who sends the nominations for the monthly recognition, but this month I wanted to recognize Judi Wong from Newport High School for her active presence and one of the most up-to-date calendars, keeping members involved with numerous projects and staying on top of everything during the summer. Congratulations and keep up the hard work!

Austin Surber was the only member besides officers to attend the gardening party and even though he probably didn't want to be there he stuck to each task with an attitude of willingness and remained committed.
