Page 4: Division 28 | February 2016 Newsletter

Dear Division 28 Key Clubbers,

There are now only 36 days remaining until DCON 2016. Time is moving very quickly, so be sure that you’re ready for DCON! I will be ordering t-shirts and spirit packs very soon, so if you still want one, please let me or your club officers know!

Speaking of preparing yourself for DCON, don’t miss out on the DCON Prep DCMs! It is mandatory that each DCON attendee goes to at least one of these events. At these DCMs, we will be going over what’s happening at DCON 2016, some divisional cheers, passing out spirit gear, getting to know others in our division, and much more!

Many clubs have also had their officer elections in the past month, so congratulations to all the incoming officers! Remember, you have a difficult but also very rewarding task ahead of you. Being a Key Club officerwill allow you to see Key Club in awhole new way, and I know thatyou’ll enjoy every minute of yourterm!

In Love and Service,Adam NewtonLieutenant Governor of Division 28

January DCM

Thank you to all the Div. 28 and Div. 32 members who

attended the January 28/32 Joint DCM! We were

lucky to have over 120 attendees from both divisions!

We started off the DCM with few games of assassin

and then moved to a scavenger hunt around the

mall! And don’t forget the babies that will be saved

from your donations during the miracle minute!

In the midst of serene nature and fluctuating weather conditions lies the great Pacific Northwest

District (PNW).The Pacific Northwest is geographically the largest district of Key Club International. The district spans from western

Canada to northern California: with Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and the pan-handle of Idaho in between. The Pacific Northwest encompasses nearly 1.8 million square miles and includes over

300 clubs that operate under 45 divisions. Through rain or shine, snow or hail, Key Clubbers in the

Pacific Northwest dedicate countless hours to their communities and internationally, and are always

Proud 'N' Willing to serve!

UNICEF

Since 1994, Key Club has been Trick-or-

Treating for UNICEF and over the years

has raised nearly US$5 million for iodine

deficiency programs worldwide and HIV

and AIDS programs in Kenya and

Swaziland. Now it’s helping the Eliminate

Project.

MARCH OF DIMES

For decades, Key Club has partnered

with the March of Dimes to give every

baby a healthy start. Key Club members

raise thousands of dollars annually

through various programs, including

collecting change, holding dances, and

taking part in March of Dimes’ signature

event, March for Babies.

CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK

HOSPITALS

Key Club participates with Children’s

Miracle Network Hospitals by sponsoring

fundraising events. Key Club members

also participate in service projects at their

local children’s hospital.
