Hello D18E!

I hope everyone has been feeling like they are a million bucks lately! If

you don’t know who I am well I am Naaley Khounpaseuth! I will be serving

Division 18 East in the 2016

myself, I am a 16 years old and I attend Redwood High school and I can-

not wait for the incoming year! I am a varsity runner for Redwood Track

and Field, I have the honor of singing and performing with Ranger Choir, I

am also a member of CSF and most importantly I have the honoring of

serving Division 18 East! Last term I was one of the Fall Rally Spirit Coordina-

tors and the Service Expo Coordinator. I was one of the girls leading the

cheers at the rally! Now enough about me! Let’s talk about some im-

portant announcements! By now hopefully everyone has sent in their new

club information because that is very important information for not only

me but for the district! This year Division 18 East and West will be holding

OTC together! What is OTC? OTC is officer training conference where the

new officers for the incoming year get training on their position. I highly

recommend that all new officers attend this! Last year we had 9 out of 10

clubs attend this year we should have 10 out of 10 clubs attend! I hope to

see you all there!

Dancin’ in Service,

Naaley Khounpaseuth

Highlights from DCON

What is DCON?

DCON is district convention where all of Cal-Nev-Ha

comes together and celebrates a year of service.

This year HMA, our IP Sydney Garcia & Ruby Aujla ,

D18W’s LTG and myself attended DCON in Sacra-

mento California! Here are a few highlights from

DCON!

Here we have Region 11 on stage taking

our Region picture!

Highlights from DCON

We retired our old board at the

end of DCON and our IP GOV

was given this amazing blanket.

If you look carefully you can see

our dancing cow!

DCON was an unforgetta-

ble experience I will cher-

ish forever. From training

for six hours straight to the

Governor’s ball I had so

much fun. I got to help

choose our next district

board, show everyone

what D18E did and help

HMA sell ribbon leis to peo-

ple! I met so many

keyclubbers and I also got

to reunite with one of my

fellow key clubbers. Tears

were shed when our old

board retired. But it’s our

turn now to create a new

year and before we know it

DCON will be right around

the corner again!

After the EternaBees were retired

the NewBees were installed here

we have our new executive

board!

Goals for Division 18 East

As soon as one term ends another ones begins. Last

term Division 18 East achieved amazing things. This

year I think we can do even better! I think we can

easily increase attendance at DCM’s, achieve 100%

attendance at OTC & RTC, raise $2,000 for PTP, in-

crease attendance at Fall Rally & DCON and so much

more!

To achieve these goals I plan on hosting themed

DCM’s, holding more division wide fundraisers &

events, advertising our events so more members

have knowledge about them, holding spirit nights

before Fall Rally and encouraging everyone to get

involved!
