What happen at Interclub?

2

On December 18, 2010, Division 14 hosted the

first Interclub which was a Christmas Bash. It

was a great success and thank you to all the

Key Clubs that attend. Biloxi, Gautier, Long

Beach, Pascagoula, Moss Point, St.Stanislaus,

and West Harrison Key Club attended the

event and contributed to the Salvation Army

with our food drive. There was food, games,

raffle, music, and great

talent at the event! It

seems everyone had a

great time and I enjoy

spending time with

all these amazing

Key Clubbers.

Check out these pictures!

We had 4 amazing talent acts at the

Interclub. The first act was a singing

performance by Telvin Bunch from Moss

Point, then Briana Burton from Gautier High

sang “Firework” acapalla by Katy Perry, and

we had a group performance singing “This

Christmas” from Moss Point, Gautier, and

Pascagoula Key Club. I even performed with

a freestyle dance accompanied by Sergio

Gaskin. It was a great show and I am happy

to have these Key Clubbers participate in

such a wonderful event! Thank you all who

showcase their talent and hope to see your

talents at DCON!

Who’s got talent?!

Special Thanks! I would like to thank these people for helping me put this awesome Christmas Bash together.

Pascagoula Kiwanis for providing funds for food and set-up. Gulfport Kiwanis for providing the

drinks and pizza and helping find a location. Lynn Meadows Discovery Center for providing

the facility. Stephen Benn for providing music, screen, and all the technical equipment. All

chaperones and advisors who help out at the Interclub. Participants for the talent showcase

and all Key Clubbers who attended this event. Thank you all so much for making this Christmas

Bash one of the best interclubs ever!

Take a look at these organizations!

Here are some great organizations your Key Club can help out with including the District Governor’s

project! Continue doing more service and do not forget to ask your Kiwanis for any service projects.

Together with our millions of supporters, the American Cancer Society (ACS) saves lives and creates a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back. The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the ACS has 12 chartered Divisions, more than 900 local offices nationwide, and a presence in more than 5,100 communities.

As you know, this year’s District Governor’s project is

Project H.E.A.L.T.H.Y which stands for Healthier Eating

Always Leads to Happier Years. Our goal is to raise

money for the American Diabetes Association for

those who are diagnose with diabetes. This is a major

service project to do and we need your Key Clubbers

help to raise money for this organization.

Their mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to

improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

They lead the fight against the deadly consequences

of diabetes and fight for those affected—by diabetes.

They fund research to prevent, cure and

manage diabetes.

They deliver services to hundreds of

communities.

They provide objective and credible information.

They give voice to those denied their rights

because of diabetes.

Here’s the latest news on Division 14! In this section, you will find Division 14’s information on DCON,

NOT, Theme, and more! Be prepared for this year because Division 14 is going all out!

At our last PCM, we had only 2 schools (Gautier and Moss

Point) and one Kiwanian attend which were only 5 people.

Compare to our first meeting, the amount of participants

dropped significantly and so I would like to improve

participation and to stay active in our division with this

upcoming PCM. Last PCM, we discuss DCON and New

Officers Training updates. I will get into details more about

these two events at the next PCM! All officers, advisors, and

Kiwanians are welcome to attend, and feel free to bring

any Key Clubbers to this event as well. Please RSVP who

can attend this PCM so I will know how many agendas to

make and for the restaurant to set up chairs and tables.

Bring all necessary materials and money for food please. I

cannot wait to see you all there!
