days! Help trim the Christmas tree, use your creativity
to make some holiday ornaments, enjoy festive carols
and other Christmas time fun! Don’t miss a live read-
ing of the beloved story “The Mitten” and “Five Little
Snowflakes” at 5:00 PM! An all-day Christmas craft
will be provided to create the day of the party.

Without a doubt, this event is our most popular for
families and children of all ages, and keeps getting
bigger and better every year! Prepare for a season of

Get Ready for Adult Winter Reading! “Hot Reads for Cold Nights”
To take advantage of the cold weather season, the Dickinson County Library
will be hosting an Adult Winter Reading program! This is perfect for all
those who do not have time to do Summer Reading, but still want to partici-
pate in a fun community program! The program, “Hot Reads for Cold
Nights” will begin on Monday, January 12 and run until the first day of
spring, March 20th.
Adults 18 and over can sign-up at the Dickinson County Library or any of the
branches and receive a reading log to keep track of their books over the winter months. If you have any

Let Them Know We Care!
Traditionally, the Dickinson County Library and its branches are collection sites for
donations to various local charities during the holiday season. This year, the library
will be collecting donations of winter attire for the Caring House. All
donations of scarves, hats, mittens, and more can be dropped off at any Dickinson
County Library branch until December 23rd. If you have any questions, please call
the Dickinson County Library at 774-1218.
Holiday Movie Matinee: Home Alone Saturday, December 20, 10:00 AM @ Main
Count down the last days of the
holiday season with a holiday
matinee film at the library! We’ll
be showing the modern holiday
classic Home Alone, complete
with popcorn for those who at-
tend! Home Alone tells the story
of one boy who is accidentally left
home alone at Christmas and his quest to protect
the family home from traveling thieves. This film
is sure to delight families of all ages! Home Alone
is rated PG; don’t miss a chance to see this great
film at the library!
Look for an Evergreen Day Thursday, December 18, 3:30 PM @ Norway
Friday, December 19, 4:00 PM @ Main
Kids in grades 2-6 will test their
knowledge with an Evergreen trivia
game and participate in a Decorate
the Evergreen relay race! They’ll
learn about Evergreen Traditions
from around the World and train
their five senses with the Evergreens
in Winter activity. Live readings from Merry
Christmas, Merry Crow and The After Christmas
Tree will finish off the program, complete with hot
