DIALLOG > History
► 1991 – BelCel, owner of DIALLOG trademark in Belarus, is founded by
Cable & Wireless plc and the Government of Belarus.
► 1993 – BelCel is the first operator to provide wireless services in Belarus.
It was started as analogue First Generation NMT-450.
Major enterprises, government and banks are the first BelCel clients.
► 1994 – NMT-450 network expands and covers all regional cities.
► 1998 – BelCel coverage is more than 60% of Belarus territory and
expands into the distant districts beyond reach of the fixed telephony.
► 2003 – BelCel replaces its cellular network for transition to digital Third
Generation (3G) CDMA2000 technology in the same 450MHz frequency
band, offering both voice and high speed data services.
