- Not too much text or too little

Choose a Template- For Research Day, posters can be no larger

than 48x48

- Typical size is 36 x 48 inches

- Templates available on the Research Day website (with current GW branding)

- Use the PowerPoint tools to change the colors, fonts, etc.

Be mindful when printing colors: they can appear differently than on your computer.

Graphs, Charts, Photographs

- Pictures are still worth a thousand words

- Images should be 300 dpi TIF or JPEG files

- Don’t just take images off the internet!

Images from the w eb can have poor resolution when enlarged!

Judging Criteria

Content: States thesis clearly, explains methods, creates/explores original concepts, draws appropriate conclusions.

Visual appearance: Attracts viewers’ attention, is well organized and easy to read, includes creative graphics and visuals.

Oral presentation: Demonstrates knowledge of subject matter and project, communicates appropriately to audience, speaks concisely and coherently.
