It’s a smart decision to take up a career primarily and complete your desired studies simultaneously. This gives you a gradual and spontaneous virtual development in the pertinent career.

Civil Engineering

Page 3: Delhi Institute of Engineering Studies

Civil Engineering is an international profession that involves the planning, design, project management and construction of the built

environment (e.g.: design and construction of buildings and bridges).

Civil Engineering provides the infrastructure for essential services (transport systems, water supply and drainage systems, ports and

harbors) and in countries where infrastructure is already in place, the emphasis is on how best to upgrade and manage existing assets

in a sustainable manner such that the environment is both protected and enhanced.

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering, the broadest of all Engineering disciplines, deals with design and production of tools, machines and all other mechanical equipment to be used in industries. The industry offers a wide choice of options extending across many interdisciplinary interdependent specialties.

Mechanical engineering is concerned with all types of machinery in industries and all aspects of their mechanism and functioning; the design, development, construction, production, installation, operation and maintenance; such as large steam and gas turbines, components of thermal power stations, internal combustion engines, jet engines, machine tools, air conditioning and heating machines, refrigerators etc to name a few. They not only design and create new products, but also develop materials for them and ways of making them.

Careers

Virtually every aspect of life is touched by Mechanical Engineering. If something moves or uses energy, a mechanical engineer was probably involved in its design or production. Following are the areas and/ or fields where a mechanical engineer can seek progress post completion of the course
