Welcome to the Dearborn Country Club
In 1923, Henry Ford, one of the most powerful men in history, instructed his general secretary to "lay out a good, practical golf club that anybody could use." Dearborn Country Club is a traditional, family-oriented club located conveniently between downtown Detroit and the western suburbs. The club features one of the most challenging, yet playable 18 holes of golf found in the state of Michigan, great dining, quality service and facilities with year-round recreational and social activities centered around our Albert Kahn designed clubhouse. Our members like to refer to it as their "home away from home' where great fun, friendships and camaraderie are the cornerstones of our historic club.
Unlimited access to 18 holes of Donald Ross-designed championship golf is a great reason to become a Dearborn Country Club member - but it's not the only one. From our competition sized swimming pool, men’s and ladies’ fitness areas, casual and fine dining, to our ballroom banquets and year-round special events, what you get when you join the Dearborn Country Club is a club experience among the best in the world. For over 90 years, we've carried Henry Ford’s vision onward - giving members a great place to try a new dish, lap the pool, lounge on the patio or play a first-rate round of golf.
A little history
Mr. Ford procured the services of nationally known golf course architect, Donald Ross, to design the original course. Famed architect Albert Kahn was then engaged to design the beautiful English Tudor-style Clubhouse. The English timbered Clubhouse was built with hand hewn beams in the dining room and ballroom, with walls of stone and brick and a still much-admired slate roof. The floors are pegged oak. The kitchen facilities and equipment on Monel metal, then a new stainless material, were laid out by John Rummer, the Club’s first manager. The table linens (from Ireland), china, and silverware were the finest available.
The golf course, designed by Donald Ross, was laid out on 160 acres of property set aside by Mr. Ford. In 1966, the golf course was re-designed by golf course architect C.E. Robinson. The addition of knolls, valleys, lakes, and an overall increase in the size of the greens, resulted in what has truly become one of the most challenging, yet playable championship 18 holes of golf found in the State of Michigan. Dearborn Country Club has had the honor of hosting the PGA Champions Tour, “Senior Players Championship”, as well has having been host to two LPGA events, and chosen to host the British Open Qualifier in 2008. Players the likes of Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Gary Player, Nancy Lopez, and Kathy Whitworth, have all graced our manicured fairways and beautiful greens. Voted by the Detroit News as one of the “Top 3 Private Country Clubs” in Southeastern Michigan in 2004, Dearborn Country Club continues its fine tradition of offering its members a place where they can get away from everyday pressures. With our outstanding Junior Golf Program, as well as our competitive swim team, the Dearborn Country Club is truly a place where golfers and families can come to play. Fine golf and good companionship are the hallmarks of a great country club and we at
Dearborn Country Club are proud of our heritage.

Dress Code
Members are encouraged to consider common sense, respect for tradition, modesty,
and the comfort of fellow members and their guests when making casual-attire
decisions. We prefer our members dress-up rather than dress-down when visiting the
Club. While we expect that members will use good taste and judgment, the Board has
directed Club Management to discreetly review any inappropriate casual attire decisions
directly with the member to ensure that the Club maintains a casual environment that is
enjoyable for everyone.
Please note that the Dress Code only allows jeans in the 19th Hole, the Terrace Room, Grill Room and patio. Jeans can not have holes, and they must be in good condition. Other considerations include:
Jeans are not allowed on holidays, at any event in the banquet rooms, golf course or cart paths.
Cargo pants, hoodies, sweatshirts, t-shirts, tank tops and flip flop sandals are not allowed at any time. Leggings are only allowed in the fitness area.
Further no swim attire, (bathing suits, coverups or flip flops) are allowed past the snack bar.
