FLYING GEESE UNITS

1. Sew (1) A 4-3/8” HST onto both sides of (1) I 8-1/4” QST, as shown. Trim to measure 4” x 7-1/2”. Make (20).

2. Repeat the process using (2) A 4-3/8” HST's and (1) K 8-1/4” QST. Make (16).

PIECED STRIPS

3. Sew (1) A 2" x 3" rectangle to (1) N 3" x 6" rectangle, as shown, to make Unit 1. Make (18). Re-peat the process by making a second set of Unit 1's using (1) A 2" x 3" and (1) L 3" x 6" rectangles. Make (18).

13. Lay out Log Cabin Blocks, paying attention to block color combinations and orientation, as shown. Place (1) A 1-1/2” x 12-1/2” sashing strip vertically in between each Block and place Sashing Rows horizontally in between each Block Row.

14. Border: Sew (2) A 2-1/2” x 77-1/2” strips to the Quilt Top for the side borders. Sew (2) A 2-1/2” x 81-1/2” strips to the Quilt Top for the top/bottom borders. Press seams toward the border.
