Today's Action

• Approve two-year downtown shuttle inter local agreement with City of Dallas and Downtown Dallas Inc.

Downtown Shuttle Overview

• Shuttles service will be operated on Routes 21 and 49 as a two-year experimental service

• Route 21 shuttle will operate between the Arts and Bishop Arts Districts

• Route 49 shuttle will operate between SWMD/Parkland and Convention Center Stations

Downtown Shuttle Overview

• Evening service would be operated on Route 49 shuttle between Convention Center and Cedars Stations

• Both shuttles would provide 15 minute service from 11:00a until 10:30p during the weekday and Saturday

• Shuttle service would begin on August 26, 2013

Budget

• The City of Dallas will reimburse DART $400,000 per year for 2 years

• Downtown Dallas Inc. will reimburse DART $250,000 per year for 2 years

Recommendation

• Approve a two-year Interlocal Agreement in the amount not to exceed $650,000 per year for a 2-year total of $1,300,000
