4. Finish all edges of the pocket. Fold over the diagonal edges of pocket and hem. Pin and sew to front by stitching across the top, bottom and left and right sides. Reverse back to ensure pocket is secure and doesnt come undone with wear.

NO ZIPS, NO BUTTONS. JUST SEW IT UP AND IT'S A WRAP 1. Check your pattern has been printed to scale by measuring the test box. Note that a seam allowance of 10mm (1cm or 3/8) has been allowed. In this pattern, the green line is the cutting line and the blue line is the stitching line.

2. Join your printed sheets together. Cut out pattern pieces. Try not to use your sewing shears as paper blunts their edge.

3. Layout and pin to fabric as per guide.

8. Finish unjoined edges with zig zag or serger. Fold over and hem.

10. Fold waistband over and tuck in edges. Stitch.

11. On the waistband above the right or left hand sideseam sew a button hole large enough to get waistband through.xx

9. Pin bottom edge of right side of waistband to wrong side of skirt and stitch.

7. Put the right sides together and stitch the two front pieces to the back piece along the curved edge. Try skirt pieces on and adjust seams to fit. When happy, press both sides of seams, and then press open. Finish edges.

5. Cut interfacing using waistband pattern if desired. Apply interfacing and join waistband pieces to make along thin strip. Press out seams.
