E N T R Y T E R M S & C O N D I T I O N S The submission must be based on design course projects for
all polytechnics in the following categories:
• Category 1-DCA2024 Design1 (Themed Cafe) • Category 2-DCA3124 Design2 (Youth Centre) • Category 3-DCA5226 Design3 (Culture Centre) • Category 4-DCA6237 Design4 (Open)
• Only two (2) entries are allowed for each category • Individual entry, limited to two (2) pieces of A1 size
presentation drawings • One Design Statement should be provided in A4 (portrait)
size of PDF format (NOT MORE than 500 words) • Participants are free to use any media presentation
• Polytechnic logo and participant’s details must be placed at
the back of presentation drawings
• Partition panels will be provided by the organizer for the participants to display their presentation drawings on the day of registration

• Each polytechnic needs to display selected students’ work (refer to techno HERITAGE) at the exhibition booth, designed on the theme of 'TECHNOCRAVE: The rise of Technovore’. The booth space is restricted to 3m (L) x 3m (W) x 2.1m (H) of size. Any structure of the exhibition booth should take safety and risk preventive measures into account to avoid risk of injury
• Each polytechnic is required to submit an exhibition booth
design pamphlet containing drawings, construction methods and design concepts in A3 size (folded into A4)
• Only one (1) entry is allowed from each polytechnic
• Participants will be presenting to a panel of judges on the
judging day • Exhibition booth preparation will be made on the day of
registration. Institutions are responsible for the safety and cleanliness of their exhibition materials

AN OVERVIEW The ultimate goal of techno DISPLAY is to enhance each institution’s creativity to interpret 'TECHNOCRAVE‘ theme into exhibition booth design. PENGENALAN Matlamat utama techno DISPLAY ialah untuk menyerlahkan kreativiti setiap institusi bertanding menterjemahkan tema ‘TECHNOCRAVE’ kepada rekabentuk ruang pameran.

A N O V E R V I E W A contest of research findings and measured drawing reports as outlined in Measured Drawing syllabus of Malaysian Polytechnic Architecture Diploma program P E N E R A N G A N Mempertandingkan persembahan hasil kajian & laporan lukisan terukur merujuk kepada silibus kursus Measured Drawing Diploma Senibina Politeknik Malaysia.

• Each entry must meet the following requirements: • One (1) Poster Presentation (A1 size, portrait
orientation) with the composition of: • brief description of the studied building
(150 words) containing its historical background, building design analysis and conclusion
• plan, view, section, special details and 3D images - (of appropriate scale)
• Model of the studied building – (of appropriate scale)
• Report of measured drawing of the studied building
• Only one (1) entry is allowed from each polytechnic • Presentation poster must be printed out and brought during
the competition. Participants are free to use any presentation technique
• All entries must be displayed at respective exhibition booth • Entry preparation will be made on the day of registration

techno SCULPTURE
E N T R Y T E R M S & C O N D I T I O N S Size of sculpture is as follows: Base: 600mm x 600mm (provided by PUO) Height: 1500mm – 1800mm A 600mm x 600mm sculpture base (provided by Organizer) with 900mm setback perimeter for visitors circulation. All elements of sculpture need to be installed within the base size. No object is allowed within the setback perimeter.
Participants are allowed to use any materials that are
waterproof / damp proof, durable, stable, strong and suitable to be placed in an outdoor environment.
The sculpture design must be original and does not contain
elements that touch the religious and cultural sensitivities of Malaysian society
Each representative is required to be at respective sculpture site
during the judging session. The appointed jury may decline to judge should they fail to appear at the site.
Each institution is responsible for the safety of sculpture and
property throughout the contest
Marking penalty will be applied by the jury for entries that do not meet required specifications
A N O V E R V I E W This design contest witnesses each institution in interpreting the theme and tagline of “Ipoh: The Tin Mining Town” into 3 dimensional sculpture. The best sculpture designs will be placed at selected areas in Ipoh city as one of the main tourist attractions.

Rekabentuk arca terbaik akan diletakkan di lokasi-lokasi terpilih dalam Bandaraya Ipoh sebagai salah satu tarikan pelancong.

ideas and creativity on the interpretation of ‘Digital Architecture’ into a short film
• Only one (1) entry from each institution and will be shown
during IDF2019 dinner • Duration of film is between 8-10 minutes excluding closing
credits • Entry submission: Soft copy of MP4 format with HD
resolution (720 and above) • Only original film that has never been screened or contested
will be accepted • Film produced must comply with the theme of Digital
Architecture and does not contain obscenity, racial, religious and cultural sensitivities
• Each institution must submit a teaser trailer of the film (online) for promotional purposes

supervised by one (1) lecturer is allowed from each community college
• Techno POD is a selfie photo booth with the theme of ‘Techno-Crave: The Rise of Technovore’. The booth will be be installed in a space of 1200mm(L) x 1200mm(W) x 2000mm(H) which can accommodate up to 3 persons
• Each entry must meet the following requirements:
i. one (1) poster (A2 size) comprises of brief explanation of the ideas, plan and 1 (one) section of 1:10 scale and 3D images of the design.
ii. one (1) unit techno POD to be installed in 1:1 scale.
• Community college logo and participants’ details must be
placed at the back of poster • Preparation of photo booth will be made on the day of
registration. Poster should be displayed according to participants' creativity
• Presentation will be carried out on the judging day.
