Dear Parents, Students and Friends of Creekside, The new school year is fast approaching. We expect to have a full house (2,025 students). While CHS continues to grow, it is our desire to make a connection with each student every day. As we look towards the opening of school I am enthused by our Link Crew initiative. Link Crew provides an upperclassman mentor for entering freshmen students. These mentors will guide, collaborate and interact with freshmen throughout their first year of high school. The 2016-2017 school year holds such promise. Im excited to get started. Congratulations to Mrs. Linda Gillespie, Mrs. Janet Robles and Ms. Colleen Murphy for being named Florida Foreign Language Associations Most Valuable Teachers for secondary schools. All three teachers were recently recognized at July School Board meeting. I am especially grateful for the extra they provide Creekside students. Truly, it is uplifting to see the fruits of their labor. Our student achievement results recently arrived. I am very proud of the efforts of students, teachers and parents to continually focus on learning. Our results show that CHS students are thriving academically. Our over-all aim is to develop a well-rounded student. I trust your child plans to plug-in. Did you know we have over 67 clubs and co-curricular organizations? These co-curriculas are designed for your student to get involved. Please visit the CHS Website (http://www-chs.stjohns.k12.fl.us/) to gain current and upcoming information regarding the opening of school. Listed below are just a few primers to get started:

The 2016-2017 school year arrives with great promise. I look forward to a very engaging year! In closing, I leave you with a quote from Mother Teresa: We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do.

Lets be a blessing to others,Sincerely,
