Geography

Austria has beautiful mountains called Alps which are famous for skiing.

Austria has also flat land for rich farming.

The Culture

Austrian traditional dress for the women is a dirndl and for the men is lederhosen (leather pants).

Austrians are great bakers. The most famous pastries are the Apple Strudel and the delicious Sacher Torte cake.

Famous Attraction

Schonbrunn Palace with 1,441 rooms is located in Austria’s capital, Vienna. It was built for Emperor Leopold. It has its own private garden, maze, and is home to the oldest zoo in the world.
