Our Values

“Ordinary Heroes, Living Extraordinary Values”

• For as long as the earth exists there are principles that will always exist i.e. night and day, summer and winter and planting and harvesting.

• Thus, everything in life revolves around the principle of planting and sowing. • A principle is something that comes first before everything. • And it is upon this principle that our values are built: • Respect • Execution • Appreciation • Pride Here at IHS we believe in putting in only the best to get the best results; the law of sowing and reaping is always at play ~ Tabea Nong (Coordinator:HR Compliance)

Preparation for Work…

There are certain skills that are not taught in school i.e. effective communication, time management, conflict management etc.

The skills that you can learn when you’re at school will not be applicable. They will be obsolete (outdated) by the time you get into the workplace and will not

need them, except for one skill. The skill of being able not to give the right answer to questions about what you were

taught in school, but to make the right response to situations that are outside the scope of what you were taught in school.

Thus, the one really competitive skill is the skill of being able to learn.

The Power of You- Self Awareness…

The famous “Tell me about yourself” interview question… Definition of Self- Awareness; Motivational speaker Tony Robbins says that “self-awareness is

one of the rarest of human commodities “- and that the one tool that can help you achieve self-awareness is... love.

So, self-awareness is the ability to identify what makes you great and manage all the other dysfunctional habits that may inhibit you from being the best.

Taking time to connect with our awareness of our self is now the key to understanding how we think, what we are interested in and what we value.

This is critical to helping us understand what work, workplace and work approach fits us.

it 'Johari' after combining their first names, Joe and Harry .

Have you considered your career plan…?

JOB CAREEER

What is it Job is an activity through which an individual can earn money. It is a regular activity in exchange of payment.

A career is the pursuit of a lifelong ambition or the general course of progression towards lifelong goals.

Requirements Education or Special training may or may not be required

Usually requires special learning that includes individualized components that develop abilities beyond that which training is capable of.

Risk taking .

A job is “safe”, as stability of work and income is there. However shifting priorities, especially in resource jobs, can abruptly change the demand and require relocation which is an unstable factor. Risks may be completely external.

A career may not mean stability of work as it encourages one to take risks. The risks are often internal and therefore planned

Time Short- term Long - term

A Positive Self-Esteem…

Above all skills that you can acquire in order to be successful, you need to love yourself.

Loving yourself means excepting all the good and even the bad about yourself and still remain content to be You.

Being great in life means being super proud of who you are, where you come from and knowing where you are going.

“You were born an original so do not settle for being a copy” (Author unknown).

Be the Best that only You can Be!
