Comparabilityo Is the comparison of state and local staff in Title I,

Part A schools with those in non-Title I, Part A schools.o Will be indicated by a red comment, “NOT

COMPARABLE” in Column 7 until ALL schools are entered.

o Ratio for Title I, Part A schools must be no greater than 110 percent of the average of non-Title I, Part A schools.

o Ratio must be between 90 percent and 110 percent of the average of schools when all schools in the grade span receive Title I, Part A funds.

• Per the United States Department of Education, online schools receiving Title I, Part A funds must be treated like any other school for comparability.

• Some flexibility in method used.

• Must be completed by ALL districts which receive Title I, Part A funds

• List each grade span• Indicate number of Title I, Part A schools• Indicate number of non-Title I, Part A schools• Enter enrollment ONLY when several schools of

varying sizes, generally only for large districts • IMPORTANT-Save after each grade span addition

Grade SpanGrade Span• A school is NOT necessarily a separate physical

building• All school numbers should be represented on the comparability report

• Must agree to information reported on Title I, Part A application

• Report all schools under “grade span”, even if less than 100 students

• Those under 100 students will also be shown on the bottom of Page 1
