IntroductionThank you for selecting CISS.FlashPlayers from www.dnn360.net.

CISS.FlashPlayers is a module for DotNetNuke that allows administrators to create a flash of any type of 12 flash players including FLV Player, FLV Player 2, MP3 Player, Media Player, Mono Slide Show, ImageRotator, Polaroid, AccordionH, AccordionV, WMV Silverlight Player, Smooth Gallery2, Window Media Player.

Our goals are:

To provide a robust underlying platform that can be used to define any type of flash player.

To provide a friendly module for host administrators to manage multiple modules on one installation.

Installing the CISS.FlashPlayers

The CISS.FlashPlayers is a zip file that contains all of the necessary files for the module. Please follow the steps below to install the CISS.FlashPlayers.

1. If you do not already have the CISS.FlashPlayers, download it from http://www.dnn360.net/Download.aspx, the file will be titled like

“CISS.FlashPlayers_02.06.00.zip” 2. Log in to your portal with a “host account”. 3. From the “Host” drop down menu click on “Module Definitions” 4. Place your mouse over the down arrow icon and click on “Install New Module”

5. Click on the Browse button and select the CISS.FlashPlayers_02.06.00.zip to add the

file.

6. Click the “ Install New Module” link next to the Browse button. 7. DotNetNuke will now install the CISS.FlashPlayers and display the processing

results. 8. Now you are ready to add your module to a page.

NOTE: If you receive any red error notifications, please copy and paste them in an email to [email protected]

CISS.FlashPlayers Setup

1. Navigate to the page/tab where you would like CISS.FlashPlayers to be installed.

2. Select “CISS.FlashPlayers” from the Module drop down menu.

3. Then click the “Add” button.

4. Now you should see something similar to the screen below.

5. CISS.FlashPlayers’s functionality is based on setting of a flash player’s parameters. A collection of parameters is used to define the followings:

a. The type of a flash player (e.g. ImageRotator, AccordionH, etc ). b. The size of the flash player. (height, witdh) c. And some more other parameters....

6. When the module is first installed, no flash player is loaded; your first step is to set up a

new flash player by clicking on “Manage FlashPlayers” as the picture in step 4 or in the module menu (see the picture below). (You must be logged in as a host to do this!)

7. You should see a screen similar to the following:

From this, you should choose the flash player desirable in “Select Player” and do setting up its parameters if you want to or do nothing to take its default values.

Media Player Setup

1. Select “Media Player” in drop box “Select Player”

2. Change some parameters’ value if you want to or leave its default values.3. To make the flash player active you must select the media file for the flash player to

play as follows: a. Select the media source from “Uploaded folder” or “Existing folders”b. If you want to upload new file, select the file desirable by clicking

“Browse...” button, then click “Upload” link button to finish.c. Select the folder where the media file desirable is located, once you select the

folder, list of files may appear like this:

d. If the file you want to select is in the list, you click “Update and return”. Note that, only the first media file (with extension .flv) in the list should be selected to play, so if the file you want to play is not the first one, use the move-up button (the green arrow) to move it up.

e. After click “Update and return” you should see the flash player like this:

Mono Slide Show Setup

1. Select “Mono Slide Show” in dropdown box “Select Player”, its parameteres appear as follows:

2. Change some parameters’ values if you want to or no change to get its default values.

3. To prepare for the flash player active, first of all you must create an album by selecting “Manage Album” link button, if this is the first time, you should see an empty dropdown Album list like this:

a. To create a new album, click “Add Album” link button, the new album’s parameters will appear:

b. The “Album title” is mandatory, the others are optional, click “Update Album” you will see the album list like this:

Once you have done for the first album, the current album in the dropdown Album list is the first one in the list. If you have more than one albums, you can choose the current album in the dropdown Album list to put images into it as the following steps.

c. To edit an album, click on the pencil icon.d. To close the album list, click “Close Album List” e. To put images into an album, do as follows:

i. From the dropdown Album list, select an album, for instance the “Album 1” is the album seleted as current album:

ii. Select the media source from “Uploaded folder” or “Existing folders” iii. If you want to upload new image files, select the files desirable by

clicking “Browse...” button, then click “Upload” link button to finish.

iv. Select the folder where the image files desirable are located, once you select the folder, the list of image files will appear like this:

f. If the image files you wanted are in the list, the current album is done. You can do the same way for the other albums. You can reorder the images in the list by clicking the move up/down button appropriate to each image.

g. To edit an image’s information such as title, description, etc.. click on the pencil icon, once you have done this, click Update images’ information for appropriate image.

h. For each album, you can select a preset composed in a text file in “Preset” dropdown list. To edit a preset file, click “Edit” button on the right of preset dropdown list.

If you have your own preset downloaded from monoslideshow website, you can choose any preset that need to overwritten. Click Edit as above, the bellow popup will appear, Then you can modify, paste the whole content from your own preset file which was generated from a wizard of monoslideshow site.

Note: For the slideshow to display correctly, you need to choose correct size of flash or make a change in a preset file.

i. Click “Update and return” you should see the flash player like the picture as follows:

j. In the active Mono Slide Show player, you can choose the current album to play the album list.

AccordionH Setup 1. Select “AccordionH” in dropdown box “Select Player”, its parameteres appear as follows:

AccordionV Setup 1. Select “AccordionV” in dropdown box “Select Player”, its parameteres appear as

follows:

AccordionV200x300.swf5. For AccordionV: CISS.FlashPlayers does not take effect of the changing size of

AccordionV flash player eventhough you do some changes the value of Height and Width of its. If you want to change the size, you should do the following steps:

a. Download http://www.dnn360.net/downloads/VerticalAccordionSWFs.zip In the VerticalAccordionSWFs.zip file there are 4 files named: AccordionV200x300.swf, AccordionV200x400.swf, AccordionV226x300.swf, and AccordionV226x390.swf it means that 4 sizes of AccordionV flash player supported.

b. If you want to change the current size to one of the pre-defined sizes above, for example, to change to the size 200x300, just rename the file AccordionV200x300.swf to AccordionV.swf, then overriten copy the file just renamed to the folder where the file AccordionV.swf is located (typically in the folder ~/DesktopModules/CISS.FlashPlayers/Media/ImageSlideV).

c. To change to one of the other sizes, do the same as step b.

6. Click “Update and return” you should see the flash player of AccordionV similar to the picture below:

By default, the module CISS.FlashPlayer simply generate a workable xml for the flash, you might need to edit xml to add video, define zone… and save back to get full benefit of pageFlip engine.

3DCarousel Setup

Show left-right button: enable the navigation button at bottom rightRadius of Carousel: The lager value, the lager the circle which images rotate.Best image size for this Carousel player: is 130x170 px like the image bellow;

However, different image size can be used , you can try before decide a best resolution.Carousel supports link on individual image.
