See for yourself.

Page 6: Circus Show

We want you to have a chance to know the truth.

Then you can decide.

Page 7: Circus Show

Is it worth it?

Page 8: Circus Show

To entertain you for a few minutes…

These animals suffer their entire lives.

Page 9: Circus Show

They are chained…

Page 10: Circus Show

They are beaten…

Page 11: Circus Show

They are mistreated…

Page 12: Circus Show

Punished, isolated, intimidated, and worse.

Page 13: Circus Show

This is how circus elephants

are trained:

Page 14: Circus Show

Taken from their mothers, baby elephants are “broken” and forced into submission.

Page 15: Circus Show

Chains, ropes, and block-and-tackle are used as restraints.

Page 16: Circus Show

They scream and cry in fear and pain.

Page 17: Circus Show

They struggle as they are gouged with bullhooks and shocked with electric prods.

Page 18: Circus Show

These are brutal training methods…

This is the STANDARD.

Page 19: Circus Show

Electric shock is applied to this baby’s head.

This is NOT a reward system, as the trainers claim.

Page 20: Circus Show

This is cruel.

Page 21: Circus Show

This is unnecessary.

Page 22: Circus Show

YOUR money. This is done for money.

Animals don't want to perform silly tricks.

Page 25: Circus Show

Sadly, they have no choice.

Page 26: Circus Show

These tricks are confusing…

Page 27: Circus Show

… and physically uncomfortable to the animals.

Page 28: Circus Show

These tricks are not natural behavior.

Page 29: Circus Show

Elephants are “trained” with bullhooks

The bullhook is a tool used to punish and control elephants.

Page 30: Circus Show

Both ends inflict damage. The trainer uses the hook to apply pressure to sensitive spots on the elephant’s body.

Bullhooks – tools of the trade for “trainers”

Holding the hooked end, the handle is swung like a baseball bat and induces substantial pain when the

elephant is struck on areas where there is little tissue between skin and bone.

Page 31: Circus Show

Despite its thickness, an elephant's skin is extremely sensitive to touch, heat and sun.An elephant can actually feel a fly land on it.

majestic creatures by watching them

at the circus.
