ALLING ALL FORMER CHOIRBOYS!

ESTORATION OF THE GREAT ORGAN

After 50 years of continuous use, it is time to restore the great organ. In 2013, a report was commissioned and found that the organ had deteriorated from age, heavy use, and environmental conditions. In 2017, a contract was awarded to Foley-Baker, Inc of Tolland, CT to perform the necessary work to restore and renovate the organ for generations to come. In January 2018, the organ will be removed and taken to the factory. We expect the organ to return by Christmas 2018.

Were you or someone you know a choir boy at Christ and St. Luke’s? Did you sing under George Vail or Grover Oberle? We are looking for former boys who sang in the Choir of Men and Boys and creating a list of choir alumni. We would love to hear from you! Send your name, years of choir participation, stories, and pictures to Kevin Kwan at [email protected] In 2019, in conjunction with the return of the renovated organ, we will be holding a great musical reunion to celebrate our rich musical heritage.
