Chinese New Chinese New YearYear

Have you ever heard of the Chinese New Year? It’s a very popular festival in China. The Chinese New Year lasts for 2 weeks in China. The Chinese New Year starts at the end of January. People also spend

the Chinese New Year feasting with their families and watching performers

with loud drums, gongs, and doing Lion Dances. After the Chinese New Year there is the Lantern Festival which

closes the Chinese New Year.

Other Other festivals festivals

There are other festivals in China too. One of the festivals

is the Mid-Autumn Festival. During the Mid-Autumn

Festival families celebrate the moon. They eat sweet

mooncakes and celebrate with light paper lanterns.

Another celebration is National Day. People celebrate the Peoples

Republic Of China. National Day is also celebrated with sports, bands, parades and

fireworks. Those are some of the festivals in China.
