Summary:
The 1st PPM Project Seminar was held in Bangkok on 11-13 September 2002
as ‘Kick-Off’ seminar officially launching the PPM Project. HE Mrs Ragne Birte
Lund, Ambassador of Norway to Thailand graced the opening ceremony at the Sofitel
Hotel, Silom. A total of 32 participants from 10 Member Countries of CCOP
(Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, The
Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) attended the seminar.
Presentations covered the introduction of the 4 case studies with some details
on the case study areas, the specific objectives and how member countries can
participate and obtain value from the case studies. Also, the lessons learned from the
previous petroleum Projects in CCOP (REP-1 &2) were highlighted. At the end of
the Seminar, participants have a better understanding of the goals, objectives, inputs,
outputs, and planned activities of the PPM Project.
