Robert F Hall, Fine Arts

Caledon, Ontario, Canada

September 2007 – June 2011

Four years at Robert F. Hall taught me the

fundamental skills needed in both post

secondary school and a working environment.

Whether I was participating in sport teams,

social justice activities or theatre, I was

constantly surrounded by people. I was able to

apply my strengths, knowledge, determination

and discipline in the arts, and later received a

theater award as a result.

My experience at Humber College was truly remarkable.

The Fashion Arts Program was extremely

interdisciplinary and I was able to gain knowledge and

hands on experience in areas such as Marketing, Retail

Buying, Creative Software, Merchandising, Product

Development, Entrepreneurship, etc.. The program

covered both business and creativity which helped me

become versatile. I enjoyed learning about all of the

areas in the Fashion Industry as well as other career

outlets that you can explore with an Advanced Fashion

Business Diploma. As a result of passion and

dedication, myself and fellow classmates received the

2015 Special Leasing Retail Innovation Certificate.

Academic Work & Designs Course: Photo Styling & Display Techniques, 2015

Objective: To create an editorial magazine layout showcasing merchandise, theme, and styling techniques that your group created from your Editorial Photo shoot.

At Humber College, I was given the opportunity to work with professional models and photographers at Silverline Studios located in Toronto.

Myself and fellow classmates created a theme based on athletic empowerment through the use of MMA. After choosing a theme, we gathered merchandise, brainstormed styling techniques and then chose a model that we thought best suited our theme.

Post production work required Creative Suite Software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign were used to create this piece.

Academic Work & Designs

Course: Advanced Creative Suites, 2014

Objective: To create a layout showcasing

merchandise that has been inspired by a theme/mood

with the use of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

My inspiration derived from a non traditional wedding

approach. I chose a pastel colour story, and later

found merchandise that best suited an ideal pastel

bridal party.

Creative Suite Software such as Photoshop, Illustrator

and InDesign were used to create this piece.

Academic Work & Designs

Course: Advanced Creative Suites, 2014

Objective: To create a poster layout for Humber’s

Annual Fashion Show. The layout is to best describe

this years theme, A New Dawn.

Designing this piece required a lot of Photoshop and

illustration work. I chose two pictures based on what I

thought suited the theme, and combined them to

create one layout.

Creative Suite Software such as Photoshop, Illustrator

and InDesign were used to create this piece.

Academic Work & Designs

Course: Trend Analysis & Product Development,

2014

Objective: To design denim sketches based on a

theme/mood. Must explain the wash, weight and

fabric details.

My inspiration for these sketches derived from my

astrological sign, Libra. I designed the pieces based

on Libra’s symbol of balance. Majority of the

sketches were designed symmetrically while the rest

were designed

A-symmetrically.

Academic Work & Designs

Course: Colour Theory, 2013

Objective: To design a theme trend board with a

colour story.

My inspiration for this trend board derived from

strong, bold and confident women. I used animals as

an example of the powerful traits and instincts that

women represent. The vibrant colours of each animal

inspired my colour story.
